Squeaking seats...
Im referring to the "squeak" somewhere in the seats when I go over a bump on a very cold morning at slow speeds. I thought I noticed a thread here awhile ago on this. Anybody know how to fix this? Its getting to be annoying! Thanks guys!
I don't have the squeak noise, but I do have two issues with my driver's side bottom seat cushion. One issue is that it makes a snap noise around the controls when I get out of the car. This started a few months after the recall was done for the wiring harness in the seat.
The other issue, which is getting to be more annoying is the "play" in the lower seat cushion. The seat cushion now has slop in it and can move. The seat shifts as you go through curves and turn corners, as your weight on the seat shifts. I took the seat out and found that the two large rivets that hold the lower cushion on to the frame are now loose - I guess from normal wear. I'm not sure how I'm going to fix this, as I don't feel like spending money on a new seat frame. The car has 45k on it, so it is out of warranty. Also, this is ridicuous that this has happened so soon. I might understand if I was heavy, but at 165, I think this is quite poor workmanship.
Anyone else have this seat problem?
