2007 Maxima SL Pics

I purchased my first new car yesterday, an 07 Maxima SL w/ DPP, Elite Package, and NAV. I wanted to get the 18" chrome wheels, but chose the Elite package instead. I can always add on the wheels down the road. This car is amazing. So many features its crazy. I picked up a stereo cable to plug my iPod into the AUX jack, figured this would be a temporary solution till I can afford the Nissan OEM adapter.

And yeah I know we all know what a stock Maxima looks like, but here's pics anyway...

No spoilers on the SL's? Or did you just not want one...

I don't believe there is a spoiler on the SL's. I've seen some that have them, but I think thats up to the dealership to put it on or not. I'm prety much on the fence with the spoiler, it didn't matter to me if it was on or not. This car w/ the Elite package just happened to not have it.

Very nice... best of luck. Enjoy it!

Don't get discouraged if you see miserably low gas mileage... it will get better!

Nice SDMax! Black looks sweet, and those rims are a step up from the 17s on the SL. I'll probably look at getting the chrome 18s from Nissan, or possibly some G35 wheels once the summer comes around.

I bought a 2007 SL also. It didn't come with the spoiler. I added it for $500 installed and color matched. They remove the brake light on the rear deck and have a nice cover that goes over the holes. It actually gives you better visibility. The tail is not visible through the rear view mirror either. I agree with the post aabove. The 17" rims are not doing it for me. I have a friend with an SE with 18" and it rides almost the same. I plan on switching. The 19" Nismos would be great, but at $500 a piece, ouch!

Is it possible to add the elite packages seat divider to a non-elite Maxima? Cost?

I read in another thread that it is possible to put the Elite seats in a non-elite model, but at serious expense. Also seem to recall some issues with wiring for the rear heated seats, etc.

I also recently moved into an '07 SL with the rear spoiler. I really like the fact that the third brake light is in the spoiler, not in the rear deck. It looks sharp. I'll post pictures after my next carwash. Gotta wait for warmer weather.

Yeah I figured I can always add the wheels later, but I wouldn't be able to throw in those two bucket seats. After a nice solid week of driving her I love this car! No regrets at all. Now to go was her in this 40 degree weather...

Very nice vehicle indeed. My mother purchased an 07 sl a few months back and I am still not used to the wheels. The 5.5 gen and 6th gen had very nice wheels on the gle and sl models and were always more appealing to me than those on the se. What happened to the 6.5 I ask Nissan, as the se now has the better looking wheels.

Maxima1964...yes, I have the stock wheels, because I lease my Maximas (I'm lucky enough that my company pays me a car allowance).

Pictures to follow.

Sweet Ride

Sweet ride........ I got myself a 07 SL as well. It came with those 17" alloy wheels but I got the dealer to swap it with 18" crome wheels from a 04 Max. The car looks sweeeet now IMO.

I personally like the SE rims a lot more. It kind of confuses me why the SL didn't get the bigger rims considering its a higher trimmed version of the Maxima.

bigger rims does not equal better ride...

more rubber... smoother ride

Because SL means Sport Luxury. So it has to look sport but perform Luxury.

I bought an 05 SL 2 years ago. My car did not come with the spoiler. I had it added as part of the deal.

You know, it wasn't that long ago that 17" rims would have been huge (my '95 BMW M3 had 16" rims that I was very proud of). My sister-in-law has an SE (mine was ORIGINALLY an SL). She asked me for some tire recommendations and when I went out to Tirerack.com and I saw how little selection was available and for how much, I became very thankful for the 17" rims that came on my Maxima!

Get the dealer logo removed (PASSPORT) off the trunk of the car. I hate it when dealers do that to your car....especially without your approval.

Seeing how a few people have 07's in this post, what kind of gas mileage are you getting with yours? I have a 07 SL and I only get 19 mpg city driving. Seems kind of low to me.

I have an 07 SL and just put the spoiler this past weekend... looks sharp now, waiting on receiving some 18 OEM Wheels...

As for the gas MPG, I get about 20-24 depending how I'm driving...I believe I saw a few post somewhere that others were getting 28-30mpg... I wonder how they are getting that... I only use 93 octane, I don't floor the pedel as if I'm street racing, instead I just cruise at normal speed most of the time...

Any others with feedback on MPG?

Also, what kind of Air intake do other have? K&N, stock, CAI?

My car is 100% stock. Is there anything I can do to it to increase mpg? I dont drive it hard at all.
