kyb gr-2

Sup,
I need to ask a favor of you all and see if you can tell me how the gr2's ride with lowering springs? Currently I am on stock struts with the eibach prokit, and am wondering how the gr2's hold up and if the ride a bit more on the harsh side, or just a bit rougher than the stock struts? I need to replace my shocks/struts, and just need to know in what direction I should be heading, and would appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance.

The KYB GR2's are DEFINETLY going to be stiffer. Not crazy stiff but for sure FIRMER. They will however improve your handling a bunch.

If you want your cake and eat it too, then go with the KYB AGX's in the rear (8 way adjustable) & adjustable Koni's up front.

This is the best solution for ride quality.

Buy them here... http://www.activetuning.com/

I know, I know, much more money. Ya wanna play ya gottta pay...

I have the KYB GR2 with Progress springs and they are great. I had them installed last week and I drive about 55 miles round trip to work and they are not bad. They are stiffer than stock but not like driving a honda civic slammed to the ground. The handling is improved and I think the struts will last longer than the OEM. I will eventually purchase the 8-way adjustables for the rear but even with my kids in the car they didn't think it was any different and they are teenagers.

Suspension first for sure. I always say suspension before wheels though because it just makes the gap look even bigger.

I have Progress springs and KYB AGX adjustable shocks in the back and love them. I am trying to decide on the GR2 or Koni struts for the front. I love adjustable suspension.

I put these on last week. Loving them so far! I could see how living in rougher places may warrant the added expense of the adjustables in at least the rear. Here in Atlanta, the GR-2's (even with stiff progres springs) are very tolerable over the various bumps we have here. Of course, I run soft, sticky tires (17") all year 'round, which may also be a difference.

GR-2s are indeed stiffer. Great handling that can be enjoyed. I'd say living out of NY would make them that much more ejoyable.
