camber kit

hey guys, for the ones running the progress springs, did you get the camber bolts? and when you got the alignment done after the springs were isntalled, was the camber in spec, or was the drop enough to throw it out of range? i am also ordering the gr-2s so if the oem shocks have any sag, this would fix it up.

You don't need camber bolts, the suspension can be aligned fine without it. Anytime you replace a suspension component you NEED to get an alignment. It always throws it out of wack to change springs/shocks.

Don't know anything about the camber bolts, but I got the progress springs and KYB GR2 struts installed a couple of weeks ago. Everyone I got a quote from told me the aligment would have to be redone, which makes sense when you consider what they're doing to install everything. Bottom line is that this is an awesome mod that has made a huge difference to the handling of my ride, camber bolts or no.

brian - when they did your alignment, did they give you a printed out sheet of your before/after specs?

You don't need camber bolts. There is enough adjustment in the factory mounting. You shouldn't use camber bolts if you don't have to, they are weaker than factory bolts.

When I had my slignment checked after install the springs, it was still dead on. Perhaps it got better than before The camber was slightly off, negative camber. it probably improves the handling a little.

Look in the FSM, also any reputable shop will be able to give you a print out of the specs.

Negative camber helps handling to a point. When I had the springs installed, I think they said I had -1 degree camber which is nice for street driving, yet not too harsh on tires. When I roadraced my RX4, I had -3.5 degrees negative, but that was only for track.
