Has anyone tried to remove the "titanium" trim off the door trim to repaint it? How is this done without breaking the clips?

Well you know how well paint holds up on plastic - it doesn't. Just add a little sunscreen on your legs, go golfing, and after your game when you are driving home your leg rests on the D/S titanium painted trim piece and after a while, blisters develop under the paint and then the paint peels. Please no obvious "stop wearing sunscreen answers". Also, the wife loves to bring her purse into the car and has also scuffed the trim - she's not going to stop bringing her purse because she pays for the golf!!!!

Thx

Just use your fingers. it is held on with a couple clips, one on each end and one in the middle. Just play with it, it will pop right off, I just did it a couple days ago

These part prices are outragous. If one was to build a maxima it would probably cost $2654321654323 and change

I bought these little rubber pices that make the glove compartment align with dash and stop the rattle and they were over $30.00 thats like going to home depot ang getting nails or wood screws for 20 bucks a piece WTF?

Thanks for the reply - I was attempting to remove the trim off a door at the wreckers last fall but it didn't want to budge but I will give it a try. The stealership was not an option as they overcharge everything. Wreckers is the way to go but even the trim pieces at the wreckers had the paint all marked up.

I order my body parts from www.worldpartsexpress.com (collision catalog). They sell NISSAN OEM for almost half the price of the dealer.

I pry the handle trim starting on hinges side, using a piece of plastic or wood that will not scratch it. Lift slowly, carefully.
