$1,300 is cheap. What would you say the degree of difficulty is installing that

I have five screens in/on the car and all of them display my carputer stuff.

My intial plans were to get some headrest monitors and have the carputer displayed on them, I have since changed my mind and am looking for a good double din unit with a dvd player and dual zone listening.

If you don't already have a pc in your car I would stay away from those units. You get more bang for the buck with a pc. A buddy of mine is using an old Dell laptop and docking station; this allows for dual display via VGA and Svideo. He has a splitter on the svideo port that feeds his headrest monitors. You can pick up one of these laptops used for about $300

You are telling me...I get that all the time...it's really cool to see what others have done with their carputers. There are so many configurations that one can go with and having one in a 6th gen makes it just that much easier.

I was thinking....

Getting a UMPC, like the OQO 2, and dock it in the armrest..... just run the vga to the Screen.....Kinda like a "brain" or like the laptop idea, except with a umpc.

Hmm.... too bad the OQO is like 1300 alone!

I don't see what that wouldn't be possible but I do see some issues with hardware upgrades.
