A/C not working... !?

My 05's a/c stopped pumping out cool air as of this afternoon. It was rather warm.
I think it ran out of the freon gas. Can't believe this $hit happened on 2-year old car.
Since last evening as I turned on the a/c it made a sound a bit louder than usual. I knew something wasn't right.
I'll take to a shop and find out, but im sure it's the gas.
Living in California and being a black car, I use a/c almost all the time. Can't believe this happened...
just venting. :P

Is it blowing air at all or just no cold air? My fan just went out and I had it replaced under waranty...

One of my A/C hoses has a leak and I'm very surprised for a 2004 to already have this issue too. I guess you are under warranty so get it in and have them fix it and let us know what they have to fix.

Good luck.

Had a leak also, which they fixed as well.

It's '05. But the mileage is over 40k.
It's scorching hot today and this really sucks.

Mine leaked too, went to the dealership at 35,600K, just in time before the warranty expired.

I found that when the fan speed is set the lowest and temperature at 60 degrees, it was purring out some cooler air, and at some point it even felt cold. But as soon as I turn up the fan speed, it gets warm.
Does this sound like a leaky system?
