Painted engine cover ideas
I was going to continue in the Kinetix thread, but I realized that anyone can benefit from painting the engone cover. I wanted to bring my engine cover up to standards considering I have that beautiful Kinetix intake manifold.
With that said, I am looking for ideas for painting my engine cover. It looks much better trimmed around the Kinetix manifold, but I think it can be dressed up to look even better. My idea is to bring in the black with red trim scheme I have with my rims and grill. I am fairly certain I at least want to get rid of the big ugly "Nissan" logo and fill i n the indentation.
Here are some pics of an Altima with a painted engine cover:

Photoshop, send pics, or describe ideas please.

For u, i say as minial red as possible.
Maybe red following the lines, and around the letters.
And the rest high glossy black.

Nice!
I'd say.... stick with the main lines, skip that lil left and right piece.
I'd also glossy black it all, but go around the letters wid red, i'll see if i can chop it up!

Not sure if the vinyl Pronto suggest would hold up.

Please don't airbrush that pic of that dude on your cover!!! That would not flow with your car at all. I am all about being creative but you must remember you have a nice theme going with the car now. Some times less is more. I like the CF idea. I would go as far as blk&red CF. all you have to do is lay it then resin. Heck send me the materials and I will do it for you.
