BCM issues
BCM issues
So, has anyone ever had a BCM replaced? My TPMS light started acting up again after dealer reset once. So he (good tech btw, I'm very happy with him) replaced the 4 wheel sensors first to see what happens rather than jump right into the BCM that controls many other things. Brought it back this week when the sensors arrived and they replaced all 4, no go. Couldn't relink them. So he gets on the horn with Nissan Tech to start troubleshooting things. They get to the point where Nissan authorizes the replacement of the BCM computer. It arrives the following day. Dealer tech calls me, tells me he needs the hard key as I have the intelli-key and only gave them the fob in the begining. They now need the hard cut key to get the car on to program things. No luck again, he's having problems getting the sreens on the scan tool to come up as the tech guide says should be up. I met him this am to see how things are going and to drop off the other key. He's trying everything, but currently waiting for a call back from Nissan, and can't look further to the receiver module again without Nissans approval for the warranty work so he's stuck going through all the motions first.
Curious if any '07s out there have experienced any intelli-key issues or anything that may be related to the BCM controller? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm one of the previous TPMS posters.

My light has been on since they replaced the broken valve stem. I really have no desire to deal with pain that comes from the service department, so I haven't brought it back.
As soon as you get your car back, take a high speed test drive to make sure the wheels are still in balance after they replaced the sensors... the tire must be demounted to replace them. Another reason I don't want to mess with the TPMS any more than I have to.

bcm configuration process. can only be done using consult. never worked on a 07 max with that concern BUT i did run into it with a 07 alt. no registration from wheel sensors, replaced wheel sensors...nothing. daig veh using assist isolated to bcm assy. re-config bcm settings which was set to TPMS-without. re-write settings good as new. i would think it goes the same for i-key casue i did see a configuration for that feature. if he DID replace the bcm assist stresses that the module be config to veh features. DTRL, SPD SENS WIPERS, I-KEY, THEFT, etc...
