You know the foam piece that is right above the air intake under the hood? Does it have a proper name? Mine is falling apart and I need a new one. Does anyone know if Nissan has a replacement part or would I be better off trying to form one with some kind of foam insulation material that people put in their windows?

You bet. I was glad someone did that and posted pics. I believe the credit goes to Pronto.

 

I had it fall apart after like 20K miles and the dealer replaced the whole piece all the way to the filter box. Not that its needed now because I am happily riding with a CAI. Woohoo.

 

I hear you. I pulled mine off after Eric and I put the intake on.

I was just thinking of adding that feature/bonus as well.
