I actually like these rims, I love 5 stars. I have a set of white 5 star 18's on my white max. I love white on white, yet I know many people are not fans of that but I like how they look on my car. There is no lip so the 18's actually look pretty good with my tire size.

That's is what I meant to say... your car didn't look right with those thin tires..... I personally like the wheels and the setup you have now...

wider wheels? they are 8.0 inch wide ... stock are 7.5 ...

I think what im goign to do is lower first just a little ... then put on 245/40/18's and see hwo that looks...

Yup, put stock size on, and no spacers.

but i figure w/ the lowering kit i will use a 40 series and it shiuld look nice...

Or, you can get the correct tire size 245/45/18. I bet your actual gas mileage sucks a fat one right now(not what the computer says but actual calculated) because of the reduction in tire/wheel diameter.
