Progress lowering springs

How difficult is this to do just the springs yourself?
What special tools might I need? I just did the RSB endlinks and the stock endlinks were a b**ch to take out.(rusted on pretty good)
I looked through the "how to section" but it was only discussing the eibach noise fix. Any help would be appreciated.

The fronts are kinda tricky. Best bet is to pull the spring/strut assembly off (few nuts and bolts) and take them to a muffler/auto shop and have them depressed. Alot of auto parts stores rent spring compressors. The rears are 5-10 minutes each. 1 bolt and their in. Did you not get instructions? Call progress and have them fax/email directions...

Thanks. I haven't gotten the springs yet. I'm the kinda person who likes to read the instructions first before I might get in over my head.

There really isn't a whole lot to them. Me and a buddy did mine in his garage... Without a spring compressor BTW. You'll love them!

Are you ridin' on stock struts? Any reason to replace them? Or should I just ride on them til they break, if at all?

I am riding on OEM shocks/struts.

I replied to you on the other site.

Mike (blackmaxx96) laid them on their sides and unbolted the hats and let them pop off. They weren't terribly compressed. Spring compressors weren't really needed.

Check out the thread on 6thgenmaxima.org about this. Good luck Man.
