O2 Sensor Failure after Intake Install??

I've been very hesistant in adding an intake because of some problems I've heard regarding the O2 sensor failing after installing an intake. Is this a common problem, or even one at all? Thanks.

Never heard about this problem. I installed the FUJITA CAI myself and have had no problems at all.

How would the intake effect the o2 sensor??? The only sensor I would think could go bad is the MAF...

If you believe the sales pitch by dry-type air filter companies like Apexi, they claim that “oil based” air filters, like K&N, can deposit a thin film of oil on the MAF sensor, which can lead to MAF sensor problems. My Berk intake uses an Apexi filter and I have had no problems.

Even if one was to use oiled air filter with cai (not short arm), the distance between filter and MAF is so great that I doubt that anything would be depositing on a MAF sensor.
