Good place to have your transmission flushed?
I'm going to be getting my automatic tranny flushed on my 04 soon and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to take it. Or any places that I shouldn't take it. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just talked to nissan about this yesterday. For starters the fluid from the factory is good for 105K. They (dealership) also don't have a machine to do the maxima. I had them check my fluid and they said it looks great. Why are you wanting it flushed? If it's filthy, just have them drain and refill. It's not a cheap process though, they said the fluid in the max is between $12 and $15 per quart.

IMO if anything, stay away from power flushes, this procedure does not drop the pan of clean the screen or check the gasket. Also ensure they use Genuine Nissan AT Fluid as called for in your owners manual. The Transmission shop that did mine ordered it from the dealer after I showed him my owners manual and he read the warning thus did not want to be liable for damage because he used the wrong AT fluid.

I went to my Nissan dealer and they told me that the fluid should be flushed every 30K miles. When I asked about dropping the pan they said they would only do that if the car had a 100k miles on it and the fluid was never replaced. At this point I'll probably just wait because the fluid looks clean.
