Power Steering Fluid for 2006 SE???
Hey guys I have a simple question. What kind of Power Steering fluid do you guys recommend for a 2006 Max SE?
I rather fill the fluids myself then have Nissan charge me ridiculous amounts of money if they did it.
Thanks!

I normally don't keep cars over 150Kmiles, but still pass them over to relatives. I've not recallled filling steering fluid. And yes, I do check all fluids from time to time.
For an '06Max having low power streering fluid, something may be wrong here. If there is, it should be under warranty. I would ask the dealer to find out what is the cause, at least refill for free if they say nothing is wrong. At least get it on the service record.

No, nothing is wrong. Not on low, but I was looking at the scheduled Maintenance booklet and one of the things they do is "topoff" all the fluids including the power steering fluid. I was just wondering what kind to use on the Max incase I wanted to do it myself if I needed too.
I just got my 3rd oil changed on my car by the dealer this past Friday and did not check it after they gave me the car. Something told me to check it yesterday and noticed that they did not put enough oil in my car. The dip stick indicates the oil is on low. I checked to see if there were any oil leaks or they did not plug the oil pan tight, but there are no oil leakes under my car. Now I have to go and scream at them tomorrow. They said they put up to 5QTS of oil engine oil. Not true, they went cheap on me so now I have to go and ring some necks tomorrow.
You know how the dealer will charge you and arm and a leg for anything they do or "check" on your car so if I can do it myself I will.
I bought my car June 2006 brand new. To this date I have 10k miles on it.

I used Amsoil Universal AFT oil. Disconnect the hose going to the rad (yes, it is cooled by the engine) and blow air in it to get all the oil out. After you fill it up, start the engine 10 seconds, stop, top it up. Do once or twice. I used 1/2 quart.
