Replacing the 05 Max seats with 07 seats???

Can it be done by ourselves???

Thought about doing this as well. Is it possible? I mean will the wire harnesses match and will it fit on the rails. Prolly dumb questions, but just making sure.

When it comes to leather seats....

the leather quality in an 07 is better and has better stitching.

in 04-06 maximas, the lower portion of the driver seat tends to wear and cause a dip or gap.

IIRC the side bolster padding of the 07 are better than the 04-06's.

Don't know what value to place on "that", but they look and feel great...say I come across some in a junkyard or something.

If you want better seats, I have considered a couple of options. 1. Replace the cushion portions with the 350Z cushions. I think if you futz around with it, they work. Check the search engine on here for threads on the topic. I have posted threads in our forum as well. 2. Get entirely different seats. This has three advantages - lighter weight, they hold you in better, and it saves ur OEM seats so when you sell the car, ur seats will be less worn. You do lose the heat and airbags. Oh well .. deal with it, lol i think Im going to replace with lighter seats to go with my lighter battery.

Here's some pics I took when I got my '07 (over a year ago... OMG!) that show the '07 SE seats:

They look good (better than 6.0 seats, IMHO) and are decently comfortable for short stints, but I find them short on padding on long runs... a few pressure points start to nag at you in the butt and thigh area.

I have a feeling someone in New York or New Jersey(both notorious for Maxima predators) is gonna have their interior stripped out of their '07.
