How is this possible
After weeks of figuring out why my car vibrates and shimmys, i have been to the Nissan dealer multiple times and the steering rack has been tightened, wheels balanced 4 times. I have finally figured out why my shiznit is vibrating, however I think I am the only one. My driver's rear wheel wobbles on the rack and it is not the tires or the Nismo wheels on the maxy. The only thing I can think is that it is the hub....but that is quite some damage if my hub is bent. I hit no bumps and never hit pot holes. What else could it be. The rotors are the rotorpros that chern has and I have confirmed that that is not the issue. So in conclusion, no tire, wheel (5000 miles on both), or rotor problem. Am I left with just the hub?

But what I'd do is just put the stock rotor back on the rear wheel, see if that solves the issue. If you don't have the stockie, then temporarily (don't leave it that way) switch up some of the rotors if you want to absolutely rule out a rotor, which would be the easiest fix.
Then, I'd make sure the wheel is balanced properly, maybe the tire is defective, with some +material somewhere, I'd then get that rebalanced. That's the second easiest.
Then, I'd start looking at the hub, maybe the last time someone put the wheel on, they torqued the lug nuts in the wrong pattern. There is a reason why you tighten in a star pattern, so it doesnt warp the hub plate. Hope that helps....
I appreciate the help. I have confirmed that it is not the wheel or tire with the Hoffman balancer and road force variance. The rotors were checked as well, but that is not a bad idea to check with the OEM. Its going to the dealer wednesday. ill let everyone know what is found. Thanks
I am also having this same issue on my car. I thought it was my aftermarket wheels that might be bent, but after getting them balanced many times they tell me that they do not seem to be bent. However I still get shaking and vibrating while driving over 50 and I am sick of it.
Well, belive it or not, its not the hub, it was the new brake rotor at the hub. it is not flush and we proved it by taking off the rotor and putting the wheel on without the rotor. Spins true. Sat the rotor on a flush surface and it is not true. The company is taking care of it though and shipping me a new one soon. Man it has been a long ride to figure this out. Happy its not a hub because Nissan may not have covered it.
