I don't know how that person can say "excellent condition, with minor curb rash", has he even looked at the pictures he put up? What is he, Ray Charles? I would buy them, then have them powder coated, that'd look hot IMO.

Hey Farz. I just put 350z wheels on my '06 max and it looks incredible. I'm trying to get 15 posts here so I can start new threads then I'll post some killer pics. I put some drilled/slotted/zinc'd rotors behind 'em too and it simply looks amazing. Only bad part is since they are 8" front and 8.5" rear I won't be able to rotate them. But hey, we have to make sacrifices for hotness right? LOL

Finally though, I don't think the SE-R rims will look that hot on a max. It's also a step down IMHO so maybe keep your eye out for something a bit nicer. I do see the G35 18" wheels all over ebay and they aren't too bad and price is decent as well. Anyways, let us know what you go with.

Go look in "members rides", there are plenty of people with SE-R rims, and it looks hot with a drop. But, everyone has their own personal taste

I am interested in getting these. But do they only come in chrome? I want them in silver. Yours are silver right?

Mine are the stock silver. I've seen a vendor on ebay who sells them in chrome but they are pricey. $1500 not including shipping. They'd look schweet but jeesh I'd have to polish them everyday! HAHA. I got these for a pretty good deal with the Bridgestone Potenza's on 'em. However I may move up from the 225's up front to a 235 or even maybe back to the stock 245 if they will fit. The potenza's handle GREAT but the ride is pretty crappy since they are so stiff. Sacrifices....

Are they all the same size of 18" x 7.5"? I have also seen these rims staggered and dont want those. I really like yours and want to get a set, any ideas on where to get a good set from? I cant seem to find any like yours on ebay. I want to stay away from chrome because I dont want to worry about being so flashy that they will get stolen in the areas that I drive to.

Yeah that is another unfortunate as these are staggered. 8" front and 8.5" on the rear so no rotation love for me. I looked EVERYWHERE but basically I camped on ebay for about 2 or 3 months until I found a set I liked. It wasn't easy for sure, and if you try to buy them retail boy are they spensive, typically 250 to 300$ before tax and shipping. However if you do buy them retail singly you could probably pickup 4 x 8" which would keep from having to buy the staggered. Anyways I'm happy as a pig with these.

Sharp lookin rims!! Good job. Sometimes you have to camp out on ebay for good deals. I did that for my 300zx tt calipers and my 350z calipers, and it paid off.

If you don't want them to get stolen spend $25 bucks on some wheel locks, problem solved.

To get around the staggered problem I traded my rear 350Z rims for a friends fronts and now we both can rotate and extedn our tire life.

Now THAT my friend is a great idea! BTW did you keep the 8's or the 8.5's?

The SE-R rims look great on a 6th Gen. Just not those particular ones.

I love that look. Your grill is clean and classy, and the wheels look like they were designed with your maxima in mind.

In a world of tasteless mods, your car shines through with a classy grace.

I tip my hat to you, sir.

How come the wheel gaps don't look as big as mine? Isn't it stock springs? Is it the angle of the pic? Car looks hot...... it would be better if it were black!!

I have all my specs in the Member's Rides section, but no the front springs aren't stock. I installed Eibach springs in the front as it was sitting WAY too high. The Eibach's lowered it 2" exactly. To me, it simply looks perfect now and of course handles better. I left the stock springs on the back.

Have you guys possibly considered G35 wheels instead? These are 18" and only $535 and $89 ship on ebay.

No they are 18's. And a sweeter look IMHO than the SE-R's. I dunno, putting anything Altima related onto a Max is downgrading IMHO. I don't want anything from an $18k car on my $30k car LOL

I am also partial to 5 spoke wheels.

where can I get an altima se-r for 18k?? Hell id buy one for that price. Those wheels are nice, but they have a lip which would make them look smaller on the maxima than the se-r 18s would.

I agree with you, for some reason I really really like 5 spoke wheels. That's why I had to ditch the stock wheels, I mean they looked ok, but had no "sport" to them.

Eh good point, I was quoting the standard 2.5s Altima's. Even though I know the SE-R is a fairly badass ride, I can't help but feel everytime I see one "Dude you coulda had a Maxima!" LOL. Perception I guess. Although wow, the new 3.5 Altima's are VERY VERY sweet. And nearly identical to the maxima in all related specs. Almost makes me wonder what the heck Nissan is thinking? Seriously, do a comparison on Edmunds and they are nearly identical in every specification. Except I'm sure the Maxima will hold it's value better.

good luck finding one for $18k...that is a drastic understatement that = the msrp of the 2.5s stock altimas. do some research and drive some cars before you go being opinionated. the facts are why i chose altima se-r over the maxima .
