If I didn't want to spend 500 on the Technosquare reflash, would it make sense to install the Safc and have it tuned? I'm assuming you can do either/or?

It could cost the same, if not more, to get a SAFC and have it tuned. Each has its own pros and cons.

AFC-tuning on a dyno and still having stock red-line and speed governor

Those are the "main" differences if you ask me. I have the TS ECU and still plan on getting an AFC hopefully by next summer, if and when the Cattman manifolds become available

You cant say your/any supercharged car wouldnt be quicker from a 30+ roll.... ITS SUPERCHARGED...

True, and I doubt it would take me more than a few seconds to overtake one now after the initial jump, but boy did I miss that supercharged take-off. It was very impressive. But mid-range on that car blew.

Try this, it works....

Supposedly (I say this only cause I have no data to back it up...yet)....advances the timing and bumps up the fuel ratio.

I'd say low-midrange is even better. This would be due to our dual stage intake manifold design, and their (Z/G) more aggressive CVTC maps in order to combat their single stage IM design. Couple OUR IM design, and THEIR CVTC map

You can do both at the same time. Not cost efficient considering UTEC/EMU etc. But hey

On the L67 comment:
OHV + roots type SC vs N/A DOHC = off the line. I'm actually pretty impressed with my off the line performance, and I have driven a stock L67. The L67 still pwns, but I'm still happy with mine considering.

Yes Maxima's are weak of the line for many reasons(FWD) is one. The mid range power is much stronger but thats what makes it great. Also its good chiping a max with new CAI and exhaust thats the only performance parts that might be affected by chipping it. I am looking to chip my max but am having a hard time finding a quality company can anyone direct me to one.

Maybe not the only parts, but chipping it with intake and exhuast its like stange 1 tunning.

this thread is actually pretty interesting and i have a question: how come JWT never made an ECU upgrade for the VQ35DE's in the 03+ maxima's like they did for the 89-99 maxima?

All the 03s and up had intelligent key and Drive By Wire, The newer ECU is wired up not to be tamper with.

The old ECU , you can solider a chip onto the daughter board and call it that.

I ran JWTs on my older cars and all them use to run very rich ( turbo applications)

This time around TS took over it, its advance a bit since JWT days, Plus I dont think Clark is still with JWT,( i could be wrong)
