I drove in stupid amounts of rain last week, puddles that honestly had me worried. Not even one hiccup or problem with my sweet Injen Filter hangin' LOOOOW by the driver side tire. NOT A ONE!

I am just gonna get the stillen short ram intake. Easy to switch back to the stock intake when I need warranty work done. MY nissan dealerships here in Connecticut look for every reason NOT to perform warranty work. Jerks

Dude it's a nissan. You think the engine is gonna blow or something? How long is your warranty good for anyways?

Oh please, hundreds of members on Maxima.org, 6thgenmaximas.org, NYCmaximas.org and not 1 single thread on a 6th gen hydro locking. I had an Injen CAI for over 3 years and now a Fujita CAI for over 6 months, I drive my car every day and through some pretty bad storms.

Have you even looked under your car at the plastic dingy covering the underbody where the CAI intake is at? Injen, NISMO and now Fujita are all in business to make money, it's just not good business to invent CAI's that are going to hydro lock customer vehicles...

Like I said before, don't drive your car like a Submarine Commander and you'll be fine. If you live in New Orleans, disregard everything I wrote and buy a Hummer...

I know its a good engine, but I have a 100,000 mile extended warranty and I didnt pay for that just to have some of the covered parts voided because of mods. I want an intake and the stillen one is fine for me. I have had it in my last maxima and I loved it.

Thanks. I am actually one of the people NOT worried about the hydrolocking. I want a short ram intake for other reasons, mentioned them earlier in this thread.

I drove an integra gsr lowered 3 inches with an AEM CAI for 4 years and never had issues with water. The filter was literally inches above the ground in the fender well too. Just don't be an idiot when you drive, and be on the look out for lakes, tidal waves, hurricanes, or tsunamis. You'll be fine.
