Remote Start.. Good or Bad??
I purchased an alarm that has the option of the remote start but i've heard by far many people with the same answers one side they tell me that its not good to have remote start because later on the engine will wear out. The other side they tell me that it wont do any damage towards engine.
I would like to know anybodys opinion and if its safe doing it to our cars.

Remote Start
I never heard of this being a problem down the line towards your engine, maybe the people that experience the difficulties had bad wiring. Or the install was perform incorrect, because I've had remote start on several of my vehicles, an never experience a bad situation. OH! What does IBTL mean bro? You left that in a post about 22s.

It doesnt wear out the engine, but It DOES lead to problems later down the road with the Starter, Battery and Alternator. I have been told this by many technicians and in my last maxima, all of these parts DID actually fail and needed to be replaced after using my installed remote starter for a while. Now with our 6th gen maximas, you will actually need to give up one of your keys if you want a remote starter. Our keys have a chip in it which the engine cannot start without and needs to be wired into the wiring of the remote starter. Then after you get this done, you will have issues if you need warranty work done on your car as this voids most warranty repairs involving the electrical system and some mechanical parts as well. I wanted to get one but I decided its not worth it, especially since I have the extended warranty

The remote starter does not cause any damage to any of the parts. The remote starter will start the car in the same way you start it. In addition it will not void any warranty as this product is installed in "add-on" rather then "bypass" mode. Its basically installed parallel to your factory starter system.
Depending on which setup you go with you may use your own OEM remote (shorter range) or 3rd party remote (longer range).
All modern remote-starter either by default or as an option offer no-grinding optioin so even if you get it and the car is started and you forget and turn the key you will not grind the starter.
There is absolutely no reason why a remote starter would cause any damage and I have never heard of a dealer who will refuse to perform warranty work because of this device.

I beg to differ due to personal experience. He can do what ever he wants but obviously if he has warranty issues or parts malfunctioning, then its his problem not ours.

damn, so there are bad experiences out there.. i have warranty in my car but i guess i wont take the risk cuz i hate driving around a rental. But ill look other options to add on the alarm its pretty neat so far, i unlock the car my lights turn on, and do some codes and i can open my gas tank door..next option is setting up all the windows to drop. its for the hell of it..lol
dont know what other stuff i can do to the car

I agree, not sure how this will wear the engine out or any parts. It's the same as getting in and starting your car, which you do everytime you get in your car anyways...
I've had mine on for almost 4 years with not a problem.
