Why don't you just go ahead and purchase the EVO so then we can all smoke you. C'mon, it'll be great fun! AND you'll have a $30,000 car with 1/2 the luxury options and prestige of a Maxima, we'll be able to laugh about it as well!

Tough crowd. I wanted the EVO for the power, not the creature comforts, that's why when I bought my Max I bought it unloaded. Because I knew it was going to be all abouth the power for me. Leather, navi, video screens, and stereos that blow out windows, that stuff does not interest me. I only care about what's under the hood and up until know I felt we were approaching the end of the line for what we could get out of these wonderful cars. Hey it was either the EVO or the new Camaro when it comes out. I have a soft sport for them, had '77 Z and and 88 Iroc-Z. But know with the turbo I can spend 5Gs instead of 40.

That means a lot coming from you Chernski

Regardles on the way the slots are, your car will stop on a dime anytime you need it with that Wilwood BBK.

The question is, what are you going to do with your old parts? Forum sale?

Excellent same here, had a 70 Camaro, 79 Trans Am 400, 84 Camaro Berlinetta, 87 Camaro Z28, 89 Iroc-Z 350 (vet engine), then moved to Japan for 12 years and the rest is History!!! I love the new Camaro coming out but like the new Mustang, they'll be everywhere. I like when someone has to ask what kind of car is that!!!

My roof spoiler is still on tight after a long time and 145 mph speeds. 3M tape will do it.

That's fine Deus... but your roof spoiler (very, very nice indeed) has a flat surface sitting against the glass and is siliconed around the "legs"

This spoiler has only a small groove along the top where it attaches to the edge of the roof. Is this 3M tape strong enough or should I be looking into some sort of epoxy?

Deus is correct, go to any Autozone, Advanced Auto, Pep Boyz, etc and pick up some 3M double sided emblem tape, **** is strong as ****... After paint my new JDM roof spoiler will only be attached using 3M tape.

OK thanks Deus and Chern, that is reassuring. What would be a fair quote to get this thing painted?

Depending on where you live, 50-75 bucks for color matching, then go buy the tape yourself and have someone help you put it on...

oh thats not bad, i'll do that then since the piece is only collecting dust at this point.

On a side note, I went to a body shop (high quality, everybody praised it, seen some amazing work myself kind of shop) and asked to remove some tiny dings, and paint the rear bumper (new) and the guys was like $1200 bucks . I asked about painting the roof black and the guy said he wouldnt even touch it because some sh-t with the seals around the sun-roof. bla blah:stfu:

How much were you quoted for the roof if its not a secret? I promise this is my last off topic post.

Really good body shop also, quoted me about 450-480 for the roof, I have a skyview... They do plan on removing the chrome roof strips and replacing them. Most of the work is going to be done on the front bumper, hood and fenders...
