Apexi SAFC Neo

Apexi SAFC Neo
Anyone out there running one of these? With the few mods I have and a few more coming up I'll be in severe need of some AFC action but this little sucker looks a bit intimidating on the install, and I don't think it's an item that many shops around here will touch. Looking for some feedback from you guys if ya have any.

2.) I'm 99.999% sure it has the SAFCII capability to change IN/OUT settings to all cars, and not just Honda. This is important for people doing a larger MAF housing.
So, right now, the VAFCII is not definitively better than theNEO, but it has yet to be proven.

eBay motors... They run just under $300 including shiping.
Brand New in Box... I was considering getting one myself...

FYI they are $299 here also. http://www.optionimports.com/aafcneofuco.html

It's really not that hard though. I'll have to find the diagram, but even with ONLY the FSM, you should do just fine.
I wouldn't deem it 100% necessary right now, since you don't have an AFR readout to justify it. Our car's are notorious for not having a very HP friendly AFR, but, lately, since 05's, you have WBO2's stock so

AFR = Air Fuel Ratio WBO2s= Wide Band oxygen sensors.
VAFCII is only for Honda's NOT our cars. I was told this twice by Apexi over the phone.
NEOcontains both the SAFC and VAFC controls. The SAFCII is what works on our cars, I have one on now.
So far as I know, no one has successfully installed a NEO on a 6th gen. (Please correct me if I am wrong)

The SAFCII has been discontinued so now it's gotta be the NEO if you go with Apexi. And it appears the VAFCII's are going too. So moot point basically. Anyways, NmexMAX I'm listening to ya buddy!

This is kind of interesting. Says it replaces the factory ECU, anyone heard of it or using it?

Standaolone engine management isn't for the faint of heart. My guess is that the majority of you guys bought the car for driving around reasons, not for a weekend/warrior/trackstar.
I would look into an advanced piggyback such as the UTEC or EMU. For those semi faint hearted, but stillw anting a little more control, there's the AFC.

Do you know anything about stand alone engine management? The time/effort/money involved? Any idea how to tune it?
