Tire Fitment ??

Hey guys... About a year ago I took a set of SE 18inch wheels from my friends 2004 Maxima and put it on my 96 Max.

With his wheels came with tires, and the tire size is 245/45-18. I realized those tires are too big for my car because they rub when I turn and I noticed that my brakes have worn down soo bad within the past year.

TireRack recommends to go nothing above 235/40-18. How can I find out if I can get these tires to fit on my wheels, also does anyone know if they can or not.

Thanks....

I believe the stock 18" 7,5J wheels have 40mm offset, so with 235/40 you'll be fine. You can trust me
