Damn, cats out the bag, actually I'm ordering everything and should finalize next week, they are ordering my Turbo and making the intercooler, special thanks to TurboTim of Speed Force Racing for his help... Install starts around 12Oct on the east coast...

Should get better numbers since I have headers, high flow cat, Greddy SP-II piping and Remus Mufflers... My goal 380-425whp with the stage II

About 4K+ for parts (I asked for the best) and I have a custom shop in my area who build race cars and they want to do it for me as a hookup (thank you) for all the work I have thrown their way with numerous customers. The Turbo is not the only work they will be doing for me??? (maybe new Koni struts/Wilwood BBK calipers up front) Once complete, going in for new body/paint of the front bumper, hood and an Onyx black roof with JDM roof spoiler (thanks for the hookup Jose)...

With respect to software (i.e. Fuel management & IGN timing), the 02 Altima uses the same ECU as 02/3 Maximas. Also, the L31 VQ35 has a touch lower CR than A34's. (slightly domed pistons = possibly very slightly more boost potential)

So figure this, A34 engine bay, and A33B ECU.

from what I read in the posts on nissanclub.com the hotshot headers are not compatible with the SFR turbo kit.

This what was said. Not sure if anything has changed. But wouldn't that mean new headers? Or maybe they worked something out.

"i just have one question about the kit...you stated that the turbo manifold is an extra option so i am assuming that the turbo kit mounts to th STOCK headers...."

Yes.

what if you have after market headers ie...hotshot headers how would this effect the install?

The headers we will be building have different mounting locations then the HS headers or any of the aftermarket headers so those headers will not be able to be used with this turbo system.Only our headers will unfortunately.

Also, will we have to be worried about the stock internals going out like pistons, tranny, etc??

We will never know until it's tried, working with a custom FAB shop may answer everyones questions, they also said Hotshot headers would not fit on a 6th Gen and I proved everyone wrong on that. I'm willing to do the R&D to make this work and will be working closely with Speed Force Racing to overcome obstacles. I will make this work for us all...

This is my daily driver so she will not be driven like a B!tch, look at the countless Turbo's put on 5th Gens and below who continue to have boosted success, like the headers, no guts no glory. If there are more upgrades I may need, no problem, I'm committed!!!

How would the Maxima with the single turbo compare to the 335i, and would this even be possible for an 07/08 CVT equipped car

IMO it will beat a 335i (they are putting down 330 crank hp) where as this kit will make 380-400whp... I still like the 335i so not disrespecting, I almost bought one...

Sorry not sure about the CVT...

Now thats what I'm talking about! Cars are meant to be driven so drive it ! I'm on my second engine already and I'm not about to baby the car. As long as it gets to 100K I'll be done and ready to move on anyway.

Totally agree, I buy cars to drive them, not sit in my garage and look pretty and I will admit, my car right now has been driving so smooth that I look forward to giving her more lungs, she deserves it!!!

If you knew anything about turbos;, you would have known this.

Also, will we have to be worried about the stock internals going out like pistons, tranny, etc??
That’s the least of our concerns at this point.

If you got the right setup and a good tuner you might be able to hit 380whp on stock internals. Make it happen Chern.

Everyone, it's paid for, it is my risk and heartache, I am willing to do this for us, either show support or STFU , it's my loss and I'm committed. I hate when someone says it can't be done, makes me more determined!!! Knowing the prefab racing shop I work with and the support of TurboTim at Speed Force Racing this will work. So sit back, keep your tray tables in the upright position and enjoy the ride, I know I will...

I'm looking for expertise, not doubt...

It's a general statement I make about negativity, not referring to anyone, however I encourage more positive feedback, thats my point!

I commend you and am glad that you are taking the lead on this. I wish I could do this, but it wont be for at least 5 years (if I havent upgraded by then) as this would surely void the extended warranty. I love the fact that when you get this in and running that you are going to be the ultimate sleeper sedan.
Go Dawgs!!

By the way I have raced(driven, not gone against) the 335s at the plant in SC (306 at the crank)...you will smoke them

Hell yeah it can be done - along time ago too. Just no one has stepped up to put the time, money and effort into it. From my interest, Im not focused on Chern turbo'n the max, you can custom fab a turbo kit on any car...I'm more focused on him hittin 380whp in a max or better yet the 400 club!

Oh, and the front mount and the bov - shts sexy.

Thanks for the props, can't wait to finally see an intercooler on my lower front bumper either. I know she'll go fast but I'm going to cruise her... Every month except winter, I'll take her to the track to let out her PMS!!!

Thanks for the support bro, looking forward to getting the Koni front struts and the 4 piston wilwoods up front also... Maybe you can give me some pointers on how to drive fast. Peace bro...

Oh and Tim (TurboTim) stated he'll be proactive in helping us east coast boys so we can all benefit, you know me, I'll post lots of pictures and lessons learned when complete...
