Powder coated wheels

It took some time before I got them back from a friend who powder coated the stock wheels with Gunmetal Grey at $25 per wheel. I think it was a great deal and I like the outcome. What do you guys think?

I think you should take some better pics with less glare, but they look good from what I can see. I am going to do that, I have always loved powdercoated wheels.

Two things: 1. Need better pics, and, believe me, I KNOW how hard it is to take pics of a black Max, and 2. Get rid of the SE-R. From what I can tell, it looks sharp.

errr OT............ i was on Mullholand, trying to get a hold of you, no luck. Prolly gonna drive up to UPLAND to visit DEUSKI on monday after the Jay Leno show.

ANY other LA cats wanna meet up, i wanna see your rides, take some pics.

Fastmax or Deuski, anyone wants my number if you can throw it out to em, i dont get to use my computer too often to check my PM's.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back on topic take, take some nicer pics and were golden. The rims look like SE-R rims but I have to complement you on that as I want a set of SE-R rims for winter use.

Yes, tons of better suggestions.

But I have to leave for work. I'm sure someone will fill you in. Don't drive another foot with that on there.

Hey Cal, I'm fine with the SE-R emblem, I have them on my car. I did it because I consider my car a race tuned car like that of the Altima. If Nissan can call an Altima an SE-R because of a different exhaust, suspension and minor engine tweeks, then why can't we call our Maxima an SE-R if all those things and then some are done to our cars. I always said Nissan should offer an SE-R Maxima for those of us who love the Max but want it more for performance than luxury. Hey if Acura can offer a TL type S for the performance minded, then why can't Nissan offer a Maxima SE-R?

caldeputy, the wheels look good from what I can see. The pics are a bit blurry, but I think the 6th gen 18s powdercoated look pretty good. I am gonna have to say +1 on removing the SE-R badge. There is no Maxima SE-R. If there was, I'd probably still say no. IMO, its the same as having a Mustang and putting GT on a 4-cyl. Doesn't exist. This is coming from a ex-SE-R owner so no hate. You're just fooling the common people, but fellow enthusiasts know whats up.

Hold on a sec there, that's like comparing apples to oranges. There's a big difference between a 4 cylinder Mustang 2 and a 8 cylinder GT. What really is the difference between our cars and an Altima SE-R. Last time I checked they had the same V6 engine, the only difference is the suspension and some cosmetics. In fact our car with all the mods is a faster, stronger car than the Alti. I chose to stick the SE-R badges on because I feel that my car is a big step up from a stock Maxima in regards to performance and so that is how I chose to represent it. No hating as well, just a matter of opinion and preference.

Sorry OT. Dude that car looks like it's on fire, your SE-R badge can stay just like my Nismo one can. Last, did you install a 6.5 gen spoiler over stock, do you have any other picture angles of it. Looks hot from what I can see, been thinking of changing since I'm installing a JDM style roof spoiler also when my car goes in for paint...

Just PM me some pics when you get time. Last, you cannot please everyone, your ride looks hot and makes you happy, that's all that matters...

Actually your ride looks like my rides long lost brother...
