If Nissan made a high performance Maxima

If Nissan made a higher performing Maxima, what would you want to call it? Maxima SE-R? Maxima GTR? Maxima RS? Maxima Spec V? Sport edition? Black edition? Something else?

Also, what high performance products would you want to see on it? Rims? spoiler(s)? body kit? brakes? exhaust? interior changes? etc????

Photochoppers, feel free to use ur craft!

I'm all for an SE-R version. Brembo BBK with 14" rotors on the front and 13" on the backs. Over 300HP, AWD or at least RWD, 19" Rims and sport suspension.

i actually wouldn't want to see it cause it wouldn't be a big difference. all they would probably do is make a new body kit and maybe 15-30 more hp. plus it wouldn't mean anythin due to that fact that in most 06+ cars they got the chip were as soon as you hit a certain speed your car will basically shut down. but i wouldn't mind gettin a SE-R or GTR badge

I agree with this but like the GTR label.

Well... I believe the "SS" should only be reserved for Chevy Cars only but a NISMO MAXIMA does have a nice sound to it...

Make it Maxima SE-R and put a FWD version of the VQ37 with the same performance numbers. 330hp/268lb/ft and bring the 6spd manual back.

Maybe I should order a Spec R badge for my grill instead of the Nismo badge? Any thoughts?

Are you confusing Spec R with SE-R bro? SE-R is what reminds me of a sentra.

So true. They'd charge a hefty ammount more for 15-25 more hp, 1 size larger wheels, and a factory body kit. Just like the Altima SE-R; looks nicer but not worth the price.

One thing for sure though is that the only Nissan worthy of a GTR badge is a GTR.

I agree.

How about even a 7-speed manual so that the fuel economy at speeds above about 70 MPH can be imporved -- by lowering the cruising engine RPMs at those higher road speeds.

GTR for me. I think that ugly looking maxima above is the Australian Version.

As far as maxima goes, i'd like 19" rims, tons of suspension mods, somewhere around 360 RWHP or better yet AWD. Xeons, heated steering wheel, power everything, heated seats all around, navi with sat with mp3 and ipod, bodykit with nice (not too low) lip, skirts and not-over-done spoiler. It should also have that night vision display like MBS and Beemers. Yeah ok I wish.

Dues, i think you should have created a poll to find out the answer. I think the majority would say GTR. You could give it a try so we can all see the results.

Hell yeah, try driving one of these in NY and see how long they last. Unless you are keeping your 30K car as a show car next to the red ferrari in the multi-car garage.

One of three reasons, actually. Prefer the 4th gen look.

2. Insurance - I'm only 20, 5th, 5.5, or 6th gens would be a lot more in insurance than my '95.

3. Turning radius...enough said. 5th gens and up have the turning radius of a semi

Man you aren't kidding. Turning radius on my 6th gen is absolutely HORRIBLE. Worse than any other car I have ever driven.

Yea, it's funny as hell seeing my friend drive my car. He has an A33B and always goes very wide to turn in his car, in mine it's just a flick of the wheel, basically.

That's what pmohr was saying with his post. That the turning radius in both the 5th and 6th Generations is HORRIBLE. Read it again.
