350z Rims on 04 Max?

Hey I finally found the Z rims I have wanted to drop on my car but I was reading over the ad and saw that the rear wheels are wider. The ad says: FRONT IS 18"X8 and REAR IS 18"X8-1/2. I have the stoke tires... will these work or do I need 4 front or 4 rears to go with the tires I have?

I'm buying some too. The problem though is a lot of the ones I've seen have a nasty curb rash. Its $100 a rim to get that fixed at minimum. :/

That's probably a great way to go Nmex. All seriousness aside Mr.b. I have 8's in the front, 8.5's in the rear (ala stock 350z setup) with my stock RSA's all around. No problems whatsoever. Looks tight as hell IMHO.

Some members have gone up to 9 or 10 , I have 18"x 8's with 5mm Eibach spacers all around and IMO 8"x8-1/2 should be OK. Even if lowered...

They fit fine. I have them for my winter set-up. In person, the .5" difference is not noticable. Mine are 17x8 17x8.5 with 225/55/17 Blizzaks.

TMPS neeeded for abs,vdc,tc

Hate to piggy back but I odnt have enough post to start a new thread.

I got a smoken deal on some studded snow tires mounted on aftermarket rims for my wifes 08 Maxima. The rims do not come with TPMS. I have the rims on and whhen I lock up the brakes in the snow I can actually hear the ABS engaging. It almost has a mechanical acuator sound to it. Is this sound normal> I t hasn't thrown any lights yet. I figured all the abs stuff would be the same on Nissan's. Thanks

I still prefer the 5 spoke that Mack has. Been trying to get them for a few months now, but nobody is caving to my low balling.

Yeah I sat on auctions for about 2 or 3 months and still these babies aren't cheap. I got mine in great condition with the stock 350z Bridgestones for $1300 to the door. The bridgestones rode rough as hell so I sold them for about 400$ for the set on ebay then put my stock RSA's back on.

courtesyparts.com had several sets of 18x8 and 18x8.5 up for sale but there seems to have been a increase in the need for 350Z track rims cause they are all gone, and they where 250 a rim.

Yeah, they are a super hot item for some reason. Maybe because they were 35th anniversary wheels and may not be made any longer? The '08 350z's come with different wheels. I'm just damn glad I got mine! FTW!

That looks real clean. That is a nice set up for winter wheels or just wheels.

It won't leave the garage in any weather... Almost 5 yrs = 33xxx miles.

They're more for "emergency use" with my daughters in daycare.

I agree. I paid next to nothing for the rims, put a little into fixing a bent one, and basically bought 1 tire got 3 free... If you catch my drift.

That's hot Mack.. what drop do you have on it? That will be my 2nd step assuming I can snag the wheels. I was worried the 8.5 would stick out a tad and hurt the lower back end.

1.8" drop in the front with Eibach's. The wheels don't even come close to rubbing. Go for it man, you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love your Max. So tastefully done. The wheels just set it off. An '07 bumper and spoiler would make it my ideal ride. Oh...and a white paint job.

I also have the 350z rims on my 04 max, the same ones as Mack. I have Continental ContiExtreme Contact 245-45-18 tires on all four.

I just sent a PayPal on some of the 35th Anniversary 350z rims. If someone else decides to get a set, I'd be willing to trade you 2 of mine so we can get a set of 4 of the same size.

BUMP

Anyone interested in trading some front rims for some back rims?

My set shipped today from a guy on craigslist. I have to get one repaired that has some curb rash, but it should be good as new when fixed. Picked them up for $490 shipped (plus the $100 to fix the one rim). I think I got a good deal.

Take offs. They have 3 miles on them supposedly. Somehow the one rim got curbed on delivery. So I'll get that one fixed.
