Fogy headlights

Well my head lights were really foggy so i decided to try to wet sand them with 1,000 grit paper and i can get the hair line scratches out. Any help or product would be appreciated.

Thanks

plastX works really well, people have also had good luck with the "restore" product things you can get at walmart. You can get plastX at autozone or other autoparts stores

The more abrasive the product, the quicker the haze will return.

My lights have that too and I hate it.... I wash my car and keep it up often and I never use anything harsh on the lights or paint that would make it do that but its looking bad I imagine like yours.... I'm gonna try that PlastX junk....

Do any of you guys know where I could find some type of chrome cleaner to shine the chrome strips running along the top sides of the maxima? I wish they would have put all chrome instead of that cheap looking plastic material.. it looks dried up now...

You may be out of luck trying to re-condition those roof chrome strips. They are notorius for "fading" or de-chroming.

I have been looking for replacement chrome strips but I dont know any that will fit the length of the "faux" chrome we have.... I also wanted to replace that fake aluminum looking stuff on the inside of the door and maybe the inside door handles... i wish all that was chrome to save us all the trouble of tryin to find it.... there's this guy who painted his like white or something... I was gonna ask him if maybe he used that plastic glue or something.... it looks nice though... take a look at his pics....
