Hi,

I'm in the midst of priceshopping an 08 Maxima SE. I'm at a good price right now but it doesn't include the option that has HIDs, bluetooth or any of that (3800 more!!) Anyways, have any of you installed HIDs and is it easy to do? Also, what would it run me to have those purchased and installed?

Any and all answers would be great as I may be going to the dealership after work today..

When you say purchased and installed do you mean by the dealership? Because I priced that too and they wanted $832 per HID headlight assembly. There are other options from the groupbuy section though.

really... Interesting.. I was told that in order for me to get that, I would have to get package/Option 1 and then add on another option along with it. I think it was also the rear sensory package? Pretty ridiculous that you have to get a package on top of a package as a requirement.

You can buy a quality HID kit that is plug and play (ie. no cutting of wires) for about $160-$250 that you can do urself. I know the head lights are different from the 04-05 but i think the concept is the same being that the projector housing is the same in hid and non-hid headlights. They're are a bunch of dealers selling hid kits in the group deals forum. If you want them to look stock colored get something near 4300k many opt for 6000k which is a lil blue'r. Just remember the higher you go the more "color" your getting and less visability... not to mention you might get stopped by police. You can also put hid's in your fogs, many people put 3000k in them for the yellow JDM look or just match the color with the headlights. Its all a mater of what you want to do/budget.

Thanks Carlos.. I would want them to look as stock as possible. I'll check it out. I just couldn't believe what you had to do to do that. I'll take a look at the group deal. Is there a group deal for turning skyview into a moonroof? ;-)
