New Leather Interior

Well I just received my new interior that my wife bought me for X-Max. Now before some of you start flaming me on the whole SER thing, its what I wanted and like, everybody has their own likes and dislikes and I can appreciate that so try to lay off on the comments. As far as the interior these seats are gorgeous. I modeled them after the seats found in the Altima SER. They are double stiched and perforated. I also had the logo digitized and embriodered. Looks better than factory.
I will have it installed after the new year, then I will post more pics.

Your interior currently isn't leather? They look good, how does the red match the paint?

Nope. cloth interior, I bought a stripped down Max because I knew I would change everything to my liking. As far as paint match, the leather is a brighter red than the outside, I was not looking to match the color exactly. I have other plans for the interior as far as the red is concerned.

Oh, I gotcha. That's a good idea to buy it stripped down and customize it. Does the kit include the rear seats?

Good luck with the seats!!

I also have an 07' Sonata with the light khaki color leather (No red though. lol) and its really hard to keep clean. Jeans will even leave a slight color haze eventually.

The Meguiars leather cleaner works wonders I heard.

The seats look amazing though brotha.

I got an estimate of $400 on my 5th gen.

Then I went to Harbor Freight for a $10 set of hog ring pliers, and Ace Hardware for a box of hog rings.

A buddy and I replaced it all in one afternoon. Granted he was a car audio installer, but neither of us had touched leather installation before.

Its really easy. Look under every seat....hog rings attach the cloth....pull them apart.....slide cloth off.....slide leather over....use new hog rings to attach....drink cold beer.....admire work.

Nice seats. I had an Accord done a few years back and the install cost was about $450, and that was about 4 years ago. Not totally out of line. It is tedious work. Not difficult, but somewhat tedious. Looking forward to seeing the final product installed.

I was wondering if it's possible to replace the cloth seats in a 04 Max SE with black or gray leather seats from an SL. Anyone have a clue if this is possible? The only issue I can think of is that the passenger seat in my car as it is, isn't power adjustable and the one on the replacement seat (from a junkyard) is.

so? the passenger seat will not move... all the seats are the same.. just have leather or cloth... and the connections for the power passenger might be under your seat already.. (they all might be wired)
