OMG ENDLINKS

well i got a great christmas present, just in time for it too. i received my rear V2 endlinks (w/ES bushings take have metal sleeves) and front endlinks. and let me tell you guys first off these things look massive, **** diesel, and heavy as hell. they also look sexay as hell. buh wanted to say that it came just in time cause i figureed out what the loud sound was coming from my back driver side wheel.

apparently the V1 endlink snapped like a twig at the ball joint on the sway bar side. all 8 bushings are chewwed out like gremlins had thanksgiving dinner on them. luckly i haven't lost a single bolt though yay me. sorry Dues had to. buh now i'm assuming that its been broken for at least 2 to 3 months. cause i was hearing it before and looked under and didn't see the endlinks break. buh all is good cause now i have new and better endlinks waiting for me. tehe swapping em in sunday night.

i'll take pics of the broken endlink just for you taz...i just wanted to see if its normal or if i did something wrong. plus if anything you can give me a little discount next time for your y-pipe when its done...tehe.

not installing my front endlinks until at least next week. when i get the front SE-R sway bar and bushings and brackets in (total price: $89.84. [$71.76 for bar, $5.96 for bushings, $12.12 for brackets]) doing them at my friends garage for about $150 including MMI

again thanks taz for the timely shipping. that was almost fast enough to rival brian at cattman...tehe

PS Any advise for installing front and rear endlinks or is it the same way as the V1s? how about the front endlinks?

Mine look pretty much the same as your V1's, but the bushings never got eaten out like that because I purchased ES bushings down the line. Neither of mine snapped like that though...lol

Wow I'm actually shocked to see that they were that bad.

As for the V2's they are bigger, stronger, better coated and rebuildable, plus the center shafts are anodized aluminum, therefor they will never rust or corrode away.

OMG you thought about little ol' me? i'm soo touched. thank you.

nope warren...i've been looking for good garages around the area for a better price they keep quoting me around $800-1000 for fitment treatment, and painting. and second of all i think i'mma go the opposite way as you...i'mma install rear valence and side skirts first and then leave the front for a rainy day. tehe...i'm already scrapping in a lot of places. so i don't think i can afford the +1 inch. lolxz buh i'mma have em painted and ready to put in. def by the end of january. tryin to clear up some space. and that kit takes a lot of space. lolxz.

Well, nothing is broken. My front V2's are rusted around the nut/bolt and the exposed piece of the shaft. Also my rear V1's are rusted...not broken. So I'm happy for now.

Best upgrade besides the Altima SE_R/Nismo FSB

As well as the Rear End links with the Progress RSB

I love mine and I race with them. Sooooooooooo ++++ all the way.

Never broke a set, but then again we tried so many different variations that i didnt have them on for that long between the different models.

Now i'm running V2's for almost a year and zero probs, bushings look great and almost zero rust.......... I LIVE IN CANADA.

Does anybody know if there is a difference in handling installing this way?

I followed this link and the directions which seems to match up to the pictures contanted in the link below. If you notice the direction of the top bolt and bushings is on the inside between the strut and wheel well. In chern's pics his top bolt is on the outside. Do you see what I mean?

IMO it doesn't really matter, whats more important is the proper placement of the bushings, with Coilovers I had more room for adjustments since my coilover upper bracket is movable verse OEM which is stationary. Even after tightening the room between a bolt head or the nut side was almost identical so the key is not direction of the bolt but ensuring you maintain clearance from the front breaklines. Again bushing placement is most important to maintain safe separation!!!

My car just handles like it's on rails and I love it...

I installed my RacingLine endlinlks on Saturday and they solved a good bit of the bad road manners of my OEM endlinks. My right OEM endlink's top joint is kind of frozen and very hard to move so its response to road conditions would be a clunk sound. My OEM's only had about 7,000 miles on them and they started acting up at 2,000. The hardest part of the removal and install was the bolt that attaches to the sway bar. I did this job with jack stands and hand tools and torqing the bottom bolt was a beyotch!! I am gonna take it to a local garage and have them hit it with the impact wrench just to be certain b/c I think my left one has a little play in it, I can here it clink sometimes on takeoff. Overall, I love the RacingLine endlinks. They look great and are far superior to the OEM's. They are a little shorter than the OEMs and I did not extend them b/c I dont want to expose them to any corrosion- is that a reasonable thought? With being shorter I think the car has more play in the steering and I would like to tighten it up, so what should I do? Extend or not? (I am on Progress Springs too) The ride is improved over minor road imperfections and highway driving is pure bliss. Over larger bumps I still get some slop in the steering but I think that is from the undersized steering rack and I am NOT changing that out. So, after changing the struts to Monroes, springs to Progress, RacingLine Endlinks and Strut tower bar I am done goofing around with the suspension. I am satisfied with my work and the quality products that I have put on my Max and I will enjoy it and just live with the undersized steering rack.

Great products TAZ and thanks for supporting the MAX.
