Looks great, did you have to get the load resistors or whatever? Does anyone know what bulb I need to get for the 07?

Yeah i got the resistors for the fast blinker. Work great.

Only thing is that Jsmithole told me to also get the Led protectors so they wont burn out.

So im planing on getting them as well.

I got the 3 OHM since it would cover both rear and front just incase I wanted to add leds to the back.

I installed them on the rear lights. Theres more space there than in the front.

So 3 OHM is good for now even though you only have the fronts as LEDs?

can you be more specific as to which wires you used to splice into for the resistors? I have had these things along with other LEDs sitting and waiting for close to a year probably. Also you mentioned some LED protectors???

Elaborate pls.

I installed an 8000k hid kit today and also upgraded the turning signal to led and it looks great. The only problem a resistor didn't get installed - so the car is fast blinking now. Since I am no mister-everlasting-know-it-all-electronics-guru , I am assuming that the car is now thinking that the blinker light is out. Correct?

And if the above is true - when we finally get the LED tail-lights and it gets installed, would that make the fast blinking go away because it would even out the wattage?

And last question: by not installing a resistor in the turn signal lights, am I risking burning them quicker?

Thanks.

I think they design these to be pretty universal, the problem with the 20 is the fatness, the smt one looks skinnier as depth shouldn't be a problem...

Thanks. Do you know if when we install the LED tails, will the wattage get evened out making the fast blinking go away?

Ps* the fast blinking is kinda bothering me because it looks ricey.....

He just said that he has all FOUR corners and it still blinks fast...so no, it won't "even out"

Dont know. Think you have to do something. You are still using the same harness and not sure how they will be hooked up.

You would need 3ohm resistors which you can purchase from autolumination as well. Ask jsmith for more info...better yet...STICKIES

Dude - you didn't my question ... My question was if after (whenever that may happen) I/we install the LED tail lights will the fast blinking go away..... And yes, I know a resistor would make it go away now -but if after putting in the LED tails makes the fast blinking go away, then I would just wait

Sure! here you go...
LED's draw such little current that it makes the car think they are burnt out, it doesn't matter how many you have, it won't balance out. Anytime you have a light turning off and on, it will most likely lessen the life of the bulb..

"surface mount technology" they can be mounted in lower profile and they are brighter...
SMT is newer, brighter and better.

Newer as in more popular nowadays. Technology has been in existance since 1960s although not widespread until 1980s. Some of the SMT LEDs have been used in computers for over 2 decades. While the brightness has increased drastically, size and power consumption has decreased.

I give JSmith & Gec all the credit for pretty much introducing these things into the 6th gen community.

first of all thank you for posting the link
second, would it be better to get the 30led smt version compared to the 20 led version
third, how exactly would u install the load resistors and if ur only puttin switchbacks in the front and no leds in the tail lights its only required to put the resistors in the front with the switchbacks correct?
thanx in advance

Instead of load resistors, can I use this? I'm not even sure what it is, or where it goes..but it says it rids the problem of rapid flashing or watver?

http://frickinbrite.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=136

edit:never mind, thats for bikes..whoops.
