So I got my clear door lenses from PrjctMax a few days ago and today I got the first 20 LED's I ordered from Autolumination.com, switchbacks included. Installed the 4 interior dome light led's and all the doors and the front lights under the dash that shine onto the floor..ALL I CAN SAY SAY IS WOWWWW!! lol...what a world of a difference. Also did my reverse lights and license plate lights. Im lovin it so far. Now all i gotta do is the switchbacks and the 3 ohm resistors. Took a quick look under the hood for the install of the switchbacks and it doesnt look pretty. Who wants to walk me thru it...and also the install of the resistors. ? oh and pics will come tomorrow night after i was the whole car and clean the interior up a little.

lol i feel ur pain i hav to figure out how im goin to do it also. theres 2 ways that i know if. 1. remove the airbox from the drivers side and the other side i hav no clue if u move it or remove it but all i know is that u need skinny hands if u do this. 2. drop the bumper down and remove the headlights.

most likely i'll go with number 2 since i don't hav skinny hands

Took your advice J and dropped the front bumper about an hour ago and removed the headlights to change the bulbs. For a first timer it really wasnt that hard, took me about 20 minutes. But man i have never been so mad before in my life. Without realizing I ordered the effin wedge type switchback and come to find out we have the other style base, metal and round. I emailed autolumintion to see if they will do a swap with me. Hope they do. Well, back to reinstalling my effin bumper and headlights. GrRRRR!!! Oh and 1 good thing is that i also incorrectly oreder my reverse bulbs, lol which i will now install in my front cornering lights since i have the bumoer off today.

Just got an email back from autolumination customer service. They told me that I can send them back the wedge type switchbacks and they will exchange them for the bayonet style for me. Cost to me is $5 shipping each way. I guess thats not so bad considering I ordered the wrong ones in the first place.

You don't split them just use the connectors they provide....

Majestic, that looks very nice. I hate the amber light the car brings. Can you please give me the info as to what lights you used, the price, and what else you need in order for this to function properly?

Thank in advance

Go to Autolumination.com...you need the bayonet style 3157 Switchback LED's. You will also need two 3 ohm resistors. These add an extra draw of about 50 watts each so that your blinkers dont flash really fast when you put the LED's in. Goodluck.

Your 100% right. I just read what I typed earlier. It is the 1157. I incorrectly ordered the wedge base 1157's instead of the bayonet ones. Woops. Had to send them back to AZ for an exchange and still waiting for the new ones.

Is there a 3 ohm resistor in particular that I need to get? I did an online search and I see so many different types of resistors

My original set crapped out on me after about a year and I replaced them with the new 30 LED version...what a difference, they are definitely brighter.

Can someone walk me through this, as far as steps are concerned. I'm changing out a deal HID bulb in the next few days and I would love to do this mod, especially since I'll be working on that area of the car.

Jsmith or anybody out there ever install the "led protectors" from autolumination.com on their front switchbacks?? I have my bumper off and headlights out right now and i dont know which wire to connect to, the turn signal wire or the running light wire. The website says the "bright" wire, since they are 1157's (3 wire bulb rather then 2). But is the bright wire considered the running light or the signal of the switchback??

no not with the switchback LEDS...The flashers may not be enough for those...Instead of the hassle of trying, then sending back cause they dont work, I'm just going with the resistors.
