Hood Alignment

Whem my hood is closed it is not quite aligned in the front. If you look at the corner near the headlights and grille one side is further from the grille than the other. I can stick my index finger between the hood and grille on the drivers side, and I cannot do that on the passenger side. I was looking for those rubber stoppers like in some of my older vehicles, but I didn't see any one the Max. Is there a way to adjust the hood height on either side? Thanks.

The carfax showed no accidents, so I don't think so. It's not drastic, I just want everything to line up correctly. It's probaby off by maybe less than a cm. Oh, and it's just the height. Everything lines up well with the fenders.

Try pushing up down low on the bumper on the drivers side ,does it come up to line up better?

Inside each front corner of the hood is a cylindrical black rubber thingie that twists to screw in or out, enabling the corners of the hood to be aligned vertically with the fenders. These can also be used to align the hood with the grille, but only in a limited way, otherwise the hood will no longer align with the fenders.

Just jump up and down on the hood until it straightens out, this same idea works on women...HEHE

I could be blind, but I'm not seeing these rubber stoppers that you speak of. Do all 6th gens. have this?

EDIT: Thank you. They are on the hood itself and not on the body like all the other cars I've had. Problem solved....I actually made the hood a little taller on the passenger side, because the air intake is on that side.
