Guys -- here is up to date information for y'all to see. I am still paying the 30bucks to Bat because I don't want to waste time going back and forth - PLUS I believe (or at least I want to believe) that he indeed shipped the item. But the bottom line is as of today I have not seen the item at the address I provided for shipping

Bat - I received your voice message. As I pointed out on my previous email I have not received the item (wish I had though!). Additionally, I understand and believe you when you say you shipped it, however I asked that the item be shipped to a specific address (**** North Powerline Road) and yet it doesn't appear that that happened. USPS shows the item was delivered at 7:40 am, my office does not open until 8:30am Mon-Fri.

Lastly, because we are only talking about $30. and in order to avoid the game he-said-he-said, I just put the check in an envelope to be mailed out to you tomorrow. But please understand, I don't have the item NOR have I ever received the item at the address I provided you for the shipping.

Thanks,
Larson

What material do you use? Is it plastic/vinyl sheet, or thicker?

Ok guys - Friday came and went and I did not receive it . I even had my receptionist ask the Postal Office guy EVERYDAY for a certified package from CA but nothing. This is why anytime I purchase something online, UPS or Fedex are my choice. Bat is a nice guy and all and I REALLY hope I will get it by next Mon or Tue, but if I don't someone here can go ahead and take over this project because I am just going to purchase the 07 bumper instead

Will keep you posted.

bat- got a suggestion, you should make some color matched vinyl overlays for evo/sti/wrx owners that want to go wingless but want to be able to switch back. a simple oem color matched piece of vinyl to go over the holes would be great

i wish i had an evo now id offer to test it for ya but thats a few months down the road

figured id throw it out there for ya though

FINALLY guys
Received the overlay today and just got done installing it and I have one word: AWESOME!!!
Bat asked that before I post the pics here to send them to him first so he can put his trademark on them. But if I were you guys I wouldn't waste time and would go ahead and order one right away as it completely changes the rear of car .

Is it thin like a bumper sticker or thicker like thin plastic. In other words, does it stick out in 3d or lie flat on the bumper?

It's thin and it lies flat on the bumper. It's shiny and IMO looks actually better than the piece on the 07 bumpers. As a matter of fact it would not be crazy to say that I can see the 07-08 guys purchasing this overlay - that's how good it looks

I thought the whole point is to be mat black or grayish, to get a sporty look; not shiny.

I would really like to know how the heat from the exhaust isn't going to warp the vinyl.

Guys - I received the item yesterday and installed it yesterday at night. Took some quick pics this afternoon and sent the pics to Bat. I just got done speaking with Bat and he will post the pics up on this site tonight

With the item Bat included an installation guide which does a pretty good job laying out what needs to be done. Bottom line: water, soap, a credit card and a hair dryer will be your best friends for this job

I am no vinyl expert - but I don't think that will be an issue at all.
