JIC VIP Coilovers

Does anyone know about this set-up? Have not heard any discussion about it.

By far the most expensive suspension set-up I have seen for our car. The write-up sounds exactly like what many of us are looking for.

Would love to see a full comparison between D2 coilovers, this JIC, and koni/agx/progress.

JIC introduces our new FLT-A2 VIP coilover suspension system. The FLT-A2 VIP has all the same features as the FLT-A2 but made for luxury vehicles. The FLT-A2 VIP is designed for a comfortable ride while still retaining the same handling performance and quality found in the FLT-A2. It also allows the vehicle to have a very low drop along with larger diameter wheels without affecting the compression and rebound travel of the dampers. Rigorous testing of the dampers insures that comfort and handling qualities are met while giving the driver that very important VIP stance, improve handling, and gain that agressive look. NOTE: Some applications may come with a rubber bushing upper mount for comfort and ride quality. A Pillow Ball upper mount may be substituted for additional cost and with no warranty. Some vehicles may require special order from Japan which will require a 50% deposit

those>any coil-overs because of their ride dampening adjustment IMO

...as stupid as this may sound...I honestly don't even think that's a high price... may be JIC FLT-A2 VIP Series Coilovers > Full WilWood BBK... again

There is an article in modified about suspension this month and it said the FLT-TAR replaces the older FLT-A2. The VIP series is very similar to the race series, but tuned for comfort/performance. The second link I posted is virtually the same as AllBlackMax's.

Outlawd - is that what you are on? K-sport?
I think I saw a GD for $795 bucks - I am seriously thinking of going to coils - but the potential of a stiff ride has held me back....

Exactly. It would be really nice to hear from someone who has this set-up. If I don't hear anything I'm just going to get them and let you guys know. I have a good feeling though......

the flt-ar replaced the flt-a2. the differenece is rubber bushings vs. the a2 which had pillowball mounts. jic is going this route with most of its sedan applications.

the rubber bushings are supposed to have less noise and vibration. for some applications, they sell pillowball mounts separately, but according to JIC there is no warranty if you use the pillowball mounts.

just to correct myself, this was incorrect information i was given by a former jic employee. the newer models retain pillowball mounts up front and rubber bushings in the rear.

btw, i still have a set of the flt-a2 model in stock and am letting them go considerably under retail. pm me if you you're interested.

I just purchased a set of the JIC Magic FLT-FAS coilovers.
So hopefully in the next week or so I will have them installed.
Then I can share information/ pros & cons about this coilover set-up.

^^^^^^ awesome, looking forward to it....

What made you go with the FAS over the TAR??

Also, where did you pick them up??

Have not been able to keep up with the forum lately, but your ride is looking clean as ever Presence.

Hey man,Thanks! The reason I chose the JIC MAGIC FLT-FAS over the FLT-TAR(s) was price and slight spec. differences. My first choice was to hit-up those FLT-TARS right away. There specs are about the same as the FLT-FAS. I know everyone is thinking 15 levels vs 10 levels should be better but that depends on your driving intention everyday. Instead of typing a page long of all the pros vs cons check out the specs @ the link below. Make sure you check out the difference between monotube damper & twin-tube damper. Plus the spring rate for the FAS is higher up front and identical in the rear like the TARS. Check it out and tell me what you think guys.
