Battery change...

I'm told I should look into replacing my battery in the near future but don't really know too much about batteries. In the past year, everytime I need an update on the car, I go with whats best. I dont know too much about batteries, i usually just go to the local sears and pick one up.

Anyone know if there is a particular good, if not the best for my Max???

Is your car stock or are do you have like music and stuff?...I personally like Optima batteries if yuor running music...You don't have to go to sears either if there's a costco around they have good batteries and you get warranty on them too

Aren't there other peices to buy when you buy an Optima?

I've been looking at them for a while and they don't make one soley for the max.

What mods do you have to do when upgrading?

As far as I know...I think the only thing is where the battery is placed I don't think the straps/clamps that hold the original battery are big enough

I actually installed my new Optima Red Top battery this morning with no problems (well, I had to modify the tie down but that was it). It does look cool since it adds some color to the bay. Also, the red looks good with my blue Buddy Club kit. I still might get one of those billet trays for some added bling.

is this something that somebody at a shop would modify for me? is it worth doing it myself or does it take a lot of time for this modification? in other words, is it a difficult modification?

I have a YellowTop D75/25. I just received this last Thursday, and if you are looking for any Optima Battery, I suggest this place: www.1st-optima-batteries.com.

This is the cheapest site I've found after looking for 2 days. Free shipping over $100.00 and no tax. My YellowTop would have easily been well over $200.00 locally, and I bought it for $172.00 shipped from here.

I went with smaller battery which uncrowds the engine compartment and lightens the car by 20 lbs:

Do you have a sams or costco nearby? Always seem like a good price with great warranty. Just got my father in law a battery for his truck for like $70. 1000cca

Didnt catch what the pro rated battery after 1 year. Costco or sams has like an 84 month warranty.

Nevermind went back and saw it was 6 years!

Heres a $5 coupon if you have a pepboys near you.
