Hawk HP+ brake pads

Since I got my 300zz tt calipers I have been using Hawk HPS pads. They provided nice stopping power, good modulation, and were fade-free. My pads wore out, and at the advice of Kamski, I got some HP+ pads were are higher performing pads. When I got them bedded in, I decided to test them. Actually, even as I bedded them in, I could tell these pads were really good. Sure enough, when I braked hard for the first time, it felt like my teeth were getting pulled out of my mouth. They border on grabby, so they might not be for everyone, but I love them. Then the ultimate test occurred as I was exiting the freeway to come home. Some jackass cut someone off which made them cut me off in my lane. The brakes were fantastic, and slowed me down with much room to spare. Of course everything in the front seat was whipped to the floor in no time.

Anyhow, if you're looking for some high level brake pads, Im sold on these.

Definately agree with you. I have the same, ceramic pads, with the Brembo disc. Excellent combination

I'm up on Hawks HPS now and love them, I still loved the grip of the EBC "ceramic" Red Stuff pads as a great alternative but at a slightly higher price than Hawk...

HP+ at the track, Supra in front, Jammed his throttle, went sideways in front of me and took out pit lane wall..... i stopped about 10+ feet behind him.

If not fot the HP+ on all 4 corners I would have educated his bumper on Toyota vs. Nissan toughness.

Well mine squeal but thats because the 300zx brakes seem to have that tendency and I need to put some antisqueal stuff on it. They have great "bite"!! Makes braking fun . . er . .sort of

Love Hawk products. Boy am I glad I upgraded this week. Today I had someone pull out in front of me from my right taking his sweet time to get into the opposing lane.

I used the brakes lightly until I noticed he wasn't going to be out of my way fast enough. From 30-0 on HPS is really good. Haha all the stuff I had in the back seat slid onto the floor.

Rather have that than what happened last time...

I have been using the Hawks for a long time. I just put on a new set when I changed the rotors. I love them and hardly any brake dust.

I get the squeal after they warmed up a bit and when I have to brake fairly hard.

My HP+ dont squeal. But the squeal is more dependant on the rotor material then the pad its self. I have pretty good 2 piece rotors and I hardly get any squeal at all.

Alba, do you know what a pinay is? ;-) HPS are greats pads, but HP+ are the ultimate version of the HP pads. I think only better would be the HP BLUE pads but those are mainly for track use.

Um I know flip lol. I thought of the HP+ but heard they were a little noisy. So for regular use I stuck with the HPS. Either way still good

Yeah i though u were a flip ;-) mainit batang babae. (does that make sense?)

I have the HP+ on my car and they absoluteley ROCK. I had the BP-10's before and they were very soft. HPS are nice pads for street use.

Last week I just replaced all my pads front and back for the 2nd time with Hawk HPS and I have to say MMMMM goood! No noise and no fade, no modulation and no vibration...best set of brake combo I have ever had....My rotors are oversized vented, cross drilled and cadmium plated, rear rotors are not xdrilled. ...also I had the rotorhubs in the front and rear painted silver for that "clean" look. Calipers painted silver too....
