Driver mirror got broke need help...

I have a question guys...i was gone this weekend and my dad was snowblowing and he backed the snowblower into my driver side mirror and broke the plastic pieces that hold it on.. BTW it is a 04 SL...he ordered a mirror already that is not painted so were just gonna swap my painted one on the new mirror arm...but the big question i have is how to take that mirror off? take the inside panel off? speaker? and what is the best way to go bout that is it just clips on the tweeter? then when i get it in do i need to reset anything for the memory function and if so how do i do that... i already tried downloading the big manual but was unsuccessful in opening it..thanks a lot...

Remove door pannel, hi-freq door speaker, and unscrew 3 screws.

You don't have to remove the door panel. The door speaker is mounted on clips. If you pull it and slide it upwards you can get it off. Then its just the removal of three nuts to get the mirror housing off. I backed too close to a concrete pillar in a parking garage last year and ripped the drivers side mirror off. The mirror unit comes as one piece including the mirror, housing and wiring. The dealership told me that there is no way to take the unit apart if you just want to replace the housing. After paying $400+ for the new unit and getting it painted, it took less than 5 minutes to install.

ok well i finally got it.. easier said then done....i was trying that pull it and slide it upwards technique on the tweeter.. and it wasnt working..so i looked closer and there was a bolt on the bottom of the speaker that was also holding it on...so i had to pull part of the door panel off and hold it open then try to unscrew this bolt which sucked...but i got it all off...now just have to wait for the new mirror to come...thanks for everybodys help...

i found it mine on craigslist but i also seen one one ebay. if you have time you can save alot of money i paid 20$ for my mirror bc the shell was broken but the triangle was intact so the guy had no use for it just the mirror. so if you have time i taped mine up for like 2 weeks and saved like 200$ bc nissan wants alot. also to do this job you need to clip the wires to seperate the housing from the triangle. put new one on put it back together easy job!
