Headlight Covers?

Headlight Covers?
I've been searching all throughout the 'net for '04 headlight covers because my current ones have a very bad humidity/condensation marks on them. Seeing how I'm not a mechanical/technical person I'm opting to purchase a pair of brand new headlight covers. Can someone point me to the right direction?

If so, it's not a replacement item, you'd have to get the whole headlight.
Is the problem just the moisture inside? Cause there are fixes for that that only involve a hair dryer and some silicon sealant.(and your time to take the headlights off your car, pretty simple)

I would say that looks cureable with a easy cleaning.
Did you or the previous owner upgrade the lights to HID's? Alot of people get condensation in there by not sealing up their aftermarket hid lights. That or nissan didn't do a good job with the sealant when putting the clear cover on the light itself.
Even if you could find the replacement clear cover, you would need to bake the headlights to get the seal right, which also dries it and the sealant out so it doesn't trap in any humidity.
I'd say, take em apart. Worst case scenario, you buy new/used headlights from ebay. Which isn't likely.

I've been the only owner of the car and I haven't done anything to the lights. I noticed this early last week occuring, and eventually it led to my right headlight no longer functioning. Now, my deal is, I am not mechanically/technically inclined, so things that might be something for you, are very big for me. I don't know what to do. You're talking about baking the lights before putting them back on?

To do this to you headlights you don't need to be mechanically inclined. You just need a socket wrench set, preferably with 8" extension. And just drop the bumper (doesn't have to come all the way off) the 4-5 bolts to get to to take the headlight assy. out and unplug the wires to the light bulbs.
Just take your time. You'll need a few hours for disassembly/baking/cleaning/baking . I'm guessing 3-6 hrs.

Never hurts to ask them though.

This is on the outside of the lens, get a lens restoration kit and they will look like new. I just did mine last weekend and they look great!

^^ I agree...
My Muranos lights did the same thing. I just waxed and buffed it off.
I think my wife let bird **** dry and it stained the lens.
It will come off.
Damn, I would think you'd try to clean it before buying new lights...

I had the same problem on mine and the problem is absolutely outside the headlight - not inside. I used a very delicate sandpaper, a water bottle spray and a towel. After sanding out all of the crap, I used a plastic scratch remover (don't remember the name) and it came out as brand new.
I have since used that scratch remover lotion about once a month, and have not seen that crap form again....

On E-Bay there is a kit I have seen for $45 by 3M it is a protective plastic sheet that sticks to the front of 6th gen headlights to protect them from damage due to road debris/ bugs etc. what you have happens to all headlights eventually and these really help preserve the clarity of the plastic. http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor...spagenameZWD1V

It just looked like the outside of the headlight assembly lexan is oxidizing. That is normal for these lights over time. The following method shouldnt take you more than 30 minutes once you get the lights out. Get 800, 1500, 2000 grit sand paper. Wet sand (all that is is dripping the paper and keeping it moist as you move it across the surface. Do 5-10 minutes for each grit. Then when you are all done wipe dry and apply scratchx or plastx. They will look brand new. There is no good reason to take them to a body shop.

For me, just waxing it on and waxing it off did not work......
This is exactly what I did.... I used a 2000 grit paper.....
