so what in your opinion are the pro and cons of springs and coilovers?
The general consensus is that aftermarket springs Eibach or Progress w/rear sway bar, will tighten up the ride. Corner and handling improve with a slight degrade in the ride quality as far as the luxury goes. Everyone hates the stock setup because of the gap over the front wheel and I know I've always thought the car didn't corner as well as it should on the stock springs.

You can get as agressive as you want with the handling......ie Dues flat out drives his ride.... me I just wanted a little better handling and to remove the gap.....I do miss the softer ride over bumps though, but in reality it seems every mod has some plus and minus to it.

When you gonna through up some pics?

i would have to agree on getting the wheels done first, then suspension then powertrain performance. The RSB is a no brainer and drop also I think a must as the gap is horrible. Welcome to the site and enjoy the wealth of knowledge these people have.

I have a 07 SL. I do not want to stiffen or lower my ride but I do want more stability i.e. less sway in windy highways or when a semi passes by and tighter cornering. Can I achieve that by using sway bars only? Front or rear or both? Please suggest any other mod if you think that would help.

I have 20’ wheels with 245/40/20 tires along with front and rear spring drop. Let's put it this way I feel every bump on the road.

That is what I expect. That is why I am keeping the OEM tires and looking for lightweight 17" wheels. I am very happy with my 07 SL except the handling. So looking for mods to better the handling keeping everything else as they are.

Really ?, I feel my front suspension every time I go over bumps
When I drive on a street that is smooth it feels like original setup may be I installed something wrong on the front suspension. I think I will take the front end apart just to make me feel better that everything is installed right.

What do you mean by you feel your front suspension? Is it too stiff?

i am having the same feel for my stock suspension. i have a 06 SE with 30k miles, with stock 18" rims. I hav this car for abt 3 months. When the road is bumpy or bad, i feel everything, my car creaks and rattles as if i have no shocks. My mother-in-law 10 year old honda accord absorbs the bumps better, even my wife who doesn't know abt cars says the same thing. Can anyone shed some light? Is this normal or my shocks are bad? My tire wear is fine so far.

When I go over the bumps kind of like the slow bump in the shopping centers just a lot smaller, mainly on the freeway I feel like my front suspension bottoms.
Maybe it feels like it bottoms but its actually stiff and I’m not use too it.

My wifes`car is a stock 07 se on 18"s. I feel my ride is alittle harsh because of the rims/tires. I was told that the FSTB keeps the car from flexing so you"ll feel more stable around corners. I just didnt notice it as much as some say they did. Still a decent cheap mod.

i guess even with stock suspension, the Max SE is harsh by ordinary standards. Well, guess, i have to live wit it the rattles and creaks.
