Nismo Exhaust..

Ok guys got a deal on a brand new system from a Nismo vender. I will be getting the Altima SER Nismo Cat-Back for my 04 Maxima SE. The reason I will be gettingthe SER and not the regular 3.5 is the wheel base on the SER is 110.2-inch and our base is 111.2" so 1 inch is no issue.I will be installing it next week when it arrives. I will also keep everone up dated on how it goes. I honestly beleive it will be a bolt on as the headers for the altima fit the cat-back should aswell. Here is a picture of the system it is pretty damn strait.

Very Nice ! You shouldn't have any fitment issues I had a custom exhaust made for my 06 Altima S-ER that bolted right up to my 04 Max.

Do you still have the stock y-pipe? What are the piping measurments? I wonder how they compare with the Cattman in size and price for the setup. Nice that the exhaust pipes say Nismo.

Oh yeah, Kevin NICE SIG pic!!

Very nice bolt up would be perfect.

Yea I saw that kink to, I will ask them today when I speak to them. On price let me ask them first if I can disclose that to you guys an maybe a group buy if all goes well. But the price was very very reasonable, EBAY reasonable I could not pass it up.

Yes I still have the stock Y pipe. An here are the specs I think the HP gains will be more than this a little considering we make more power than the Altima SE.
7.5 HP and 5.2 lb-ft increase at the front wheels (2002-2004)
6.4 HP and 4.7 lb-ft increase at the front wheels (2005)
Complete mandrel bent cat-back exhaust system
303 stainless steel construction
Weight: 54 lbs (24.5kg)
Precise bolt-on installation
4.0" (101.6mm) double-walled tips with laser-etched NISMO logo
Provides a more aggressive, sporty sound
50-state emissions legal

No the photographer accidentally stepped on the B pipe before shooting. I want video when you are done. That is a nice buy. Again, dont be surprised if your horsepower gain is only 2... the torque will change however.

To get the most out of it, you will probably need an aftermarket Y. The Cattman Y-pipe will be my choice later this spring.

Get the inside dimensions on the pipes though, that's the one I'm asking about.
"4.0" (101.6mm) double-walled tips with laser-etched NISMO logo " sounds like the muffler size, I believe it's the other piping size that will really matter

If I can get this for eBay Knockoff Greddy prices, I'll try swapping my Cattman for it.

Keep me posted. I probably will be setting aside another $1000 for this summer to mod with...

Which mufflers? And probally not you would need to either switc the whole thing or maybe some universal mufflers and remove the factory resonator.

If they bolt up to stock, I don't see why not. I'm debating buying the kit and selling the mufflers. I'll keep you posted, I'm waiting for results from the OP.

Ok Just oder the system a hour ago and it will be here by next Monday- Tuesday coming from Cali ground shipping. Also I did ask about the kink it's the same as the factory due the body piece on our cars back there. But I don't think it realy kills the exhaust flow to much considering the pipe spreads out at that point. But can't wait to get it installed and hear it in person. I have heard various clips on youtube but they all were altima's.. LOL.

The mufflers are angled down for the Altima. That might look a tad odd on our Maximas.

I think it will look legit. The crimp will make no difference and might even help. Cant wait for the video.

Hilbe, man you are droppin some loot on this muffler system. i repainted and fixed up some 2007 maxy mufflers, but have yet to apply them. I love the growl I have now.

I'm only out a few hundred for the resonators I tried. If this solves the problem for a few hundred more...cheap fix.

There is not NISMO exhaust for the SER. The one you are reffering to is a slightly modded 3.5 altima catback (rear lengthened by approx 1") the tips for both are the same..........angled down

Sure there is. There are two separte part numbers.
Also what you are say is there is a exhauts made for the SER.

The same holds thrue for the G35 and 350Z the G's systems are about 2 inches longer. But you could'nt buy the one for the 350z and put it on the G.. Also the angle down is not that much our muffler tips are also angled down a little.
