Tinted Windshield, Again! *PICS*

I had my windshield tinted 50% last time and decided it was too light. I just got it done 20% from Lorenzo's.

It looks like its not even tinted from the inside.

Here are 3 different lighting pics..

Sorry for the crappy camera phone pics.

Pics are not very good. So your entire windshield is tinted? Im blind as it is and to tint the enitre windshield is just waiting for an accident to happen. If you ever got into an accident that could really be used against you. But if you like it cool.

...you have 20% on the windshied and you still could see clearly? I doubt that, I guess I'd have to see it myself. I have 20% tints all around (2 layers actually) and from what I could recall, before putting the second layer of 20%, it was pretty dark as it was. I'm thinking of tinting my windshield but something along the lines of 30% or so.

lol yeah man, no tickets yet, knock on wood. Whenever i see cops, i open up the skyview shade and that lets light in to make it appear lighter than what it actually is lol.

Theres a difference between 3m, llumar, sonar, and those cheap $100 entire car tints. I paid $130 just for the windshield and I can see out of it perfectly. I will take a picture of it from the inside during the day tomorrow.

Yeah anything past the stock strip is illegal to get tinted in NY.

very risky, no matter what tint you have IT'S 20%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on your windshield, that definatly inhibits your ability to see vs a regular windshield especially at night. Any accident your in, thats automatically your fault.

20% is way out there. I've had 50% on since last year and I like it but I would go the opposite way if I could do it again. If I replace the windshield I may go up to like a 70% or 80% tint. My tint wasn't isn't cheap either, if I remember correctly it was just over $100 to get it done. I've got 20% on the rest.

I also keep the skyview open all the time and roll down the opposite side window if I think the police are checking out my ride. So far no tickets, no problems.

....I'm interested in tinting my windows, but wouldn't want it that dark either. I'm surprised I've never been given a ticket for my tints and they're really dark. From an angle when light gets in you could see a little bit of the front, but you could see a silhouette of the front and nothing at all from the back. Night time, you can't see anything at all if you're looking inside the car. The only thing visible is the navi (I always like having it in the "daylight" setting and the my flip down. Needless to say, good times have been shared in my car, lol

in quebec canada, the max limit for front windows is 70%. That barely blocks some sun, but everyone can still see you, and I hate that....

I dont know if it's worth getting them tinted. 50% is nice, but 70 is really not much.... and if you have 50%, they give tickets....

And 20% on the windshield is dumb, you will get sued if you are in an accident.

I got mine tinted not so much for blocking the sun but the heat and UV rays. Quality tint doesn't have to be dark to be effective at deflective heat and UV rays.

ive heard that if u get into a wreck then the insurance company has full right to deny it

20% is way too dark for me... i got 15% on the sides and rear and it kinda gets dark at night when there are no lights around

Where did you get 70%? What brand is it? It's really tough to find tint lighter than 35% here in Denver. I agree 20% is crazy dark!

LOL - I do the same. Whenever I see cops close by, I roll down all my windows........ That way if the cops say "Hey son, I stopped you for a window tint inspection". I'll say, what tint? You have the wrong car officer

the tint i used is called v-kool...you can sort of see it on my avatar. it's 70% and blocks out as much heat as my 20% tint (it says it rejects 55% heat)

http://www.v-kool-usa.com/automotive.html

you can ask them and they tell you if there's a dealer near you that has vkool. i looked around for a while and they had one dealer around me lol

It won't be so cool when you hit someone at night and then they sue the **** out of you and take everything you own - since even if it wasn't "your fault" you will ALWAYS be at fault for havng the windshield tinted.

That, and it's just stupid. Personally, I like seeing at night. And during the day, they make these things called "sunglasses."
