Safe wheel offset for 07-08 Maxima SL

What is the offset for the OEM wheels in 07-08 Maxima SL? I searched the stickies and manual but could not find any info. The SL has 225-55/17 tires and 17"x7.0" wheels on all four corners.

I would also like to know the safe offset of a wheel that can be used on my max without using spacers or rubbing or sticking out. I am looking for the same size wheel as the stock i.e. 17"x7.0".

I can remember the exact numbers for stock (i think its 36mm 7 inch wide for SL), but I know an after market 8 inch wide wheel will need a +48 offset to sit flush with stock on the outside. The inside will be about 22mm further.

Just run 8 inch wide with +48 through any offset calculator against any combo you want to try out. Some people like to sit further out than stock so 35-40mm 8 inch wide will do this, however I like the tucked in look, which is closer to stock.

Oh yeah, with all due respect, there is a wheel forum that has been designed to accommodate threads like this.

i got a question about offset also?

Hey guys,

I got an 07 Maxima, and would like to get a new set of wheels. Would like to go 18x9.5 +38mm offset in front and 18x9.5 +25mm offset in the back, what would u guys think about this set up, would it stick out to much or would it look to aggressive and would it rob if it's lower? It's not lower yet would like to get the wheels first to see which spring would be good for it.

If I'm correct you'll need to roll your fenders depending on tire width

Stick with the 18x9.5 +38 all around and you will be fine. The +25 will rub even if you roll your fenders. I am running 18x9 +42 with 255/45/18 all around with no issues.

thanks alot, i would just stick with the 18x9.5 +38, yea i'm kinda sketchy rolling the fender also, what about the tires size would like 245/55/18 but would that stretch alittle, or should i go with 255/45/18, and what lowering springs did you used, cuz it's perfect on your ride? I was either thinking about the eibach spring 2.0 front and .8 back, or the tein 1.6 front and .5 back on the safer side. would 245/55/18 or 255/55/18 rub?

The 245/45/18 will be fine they did not look stretched, (Sig pic is with 245/45/18) I needed new tires and went with the 255/45/18. I am lowered on Eibachs and my fenders are rolled but that was done when I was running 20x10 +35 with a 275/30/20 in the rear and it still rubbed but it did not rub on the fender but on the bolt that connects the bumper to fender. You should be fine with 245/45 or 255/45 the 245/55 and 255/55 may be too tall.

Hi, I am trying to put 20" rims on my07 maxima and I just have a few questions I'm hoping you might be able to help me out on. I am thinking about 225/35/20x8 I'm not sure about which offset to have I found a wheel calculator but I'm just not sure what the dimension of the wheel clearance is ? would you happen to know the measurements to the left side of the pic?
