Just wanted to say thanks!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know that I have sold my max. I know that I haven't been a big contributor to the section but, I've been reading and lurking in the background.

I've been here since before I got my 04 max and I've learned alot from this site and the members here. It was a pleasure going to get togethers and meeting some of you. It only seems right to at least say goodbye.

So, thanks again and I have a few spare parts that was left over. I posted them in the classifieds parts section.

My best to all!

Hmmm... U suuuuure you buying a GT-R? Because according to this (http://www.leftlanenews.com/dealer-m...as-129000.html) the dealer markup will push the MSRP wayyyyyy beyond 77k. And I know this first hand too because I write Maroone's of Fort Lauderdale commercial insurance policy and get to speak with some of the people there quite often and according to Alex Villanueva (manager) no GTR's will be leaving his lot for less than $110k....

AND he also said (this is as of a couple of months ago) that there were 52 people on the waiting list - and he wasn't even sure if he was going to get even 10 GTRs.....

I am not saying I'm doubting you by any means, but this reminds of a dude here (don't remember the name) that not too long ago bought a $200k Benz and we have yet (I believe) to see the pics .....

LOL no brotha - not at all.... if he really bought it - awesome (and I mean it). But as I stated on my post - with everything that I have heard and read about the GTR, 100k will be a bargain.....

Well, I am certainly not a dude that can buy a $200K benz and I do have a deal in writing.

As for your conversation with the manager, most manager will not know too much about the gtr. You will have to ask for the GM or the owner, who is the only authorized person(s) who are allowed to conduct a GTR sale. This is one of Nissan requirements to sell the car. Also, unless this dealer sells ALOT of 350z's and are one of the largest nissan dealers in the country, I doubt that they will get 10 cars. Most dealers are getting 2-5 cars for the YEAR. Some more, but most are getting less. If this guy is getting 110K for his cars, god bless him because he is lucky. Most likely though, he is talking BS.

If you actually call around there are alot of dealers out there TRYING to get 20K over. Most aren't getting it. In my area, I've had 15K and 10K offered to me almost all of last month. I had to work to get a 5K over deal. You may not believe this but, there are some cars going for msrp. It's very rare but, it has been done.

As matter of fact, there is a car on ebay right now. Not even close to 110K and guess what...no bids. Wonder why? It's because you can call around and get a better deal.

For the guys that wished me well, I thank you. I will definitely post pics as soon as I get the car. I will even bring it to a meet so that you guys can check it out!

I just read in so many places that Nissan wanted to market this car as something that could out perform a 911 but at way less, I guess it will take a few months to cool off

To be honest, I know that this auction will be taken down. Ebay has a policy that the car must be delivered in 60 days, which this guy will not be able to do. It won't last 7 more days and I don't think there will be any bids on it when it does get taken down.

Well this seems to have gone way off topic but, I will keep my word and post pics when I get the car.

Thanks to those who have made my experience here a great one!

What options/colors/interior did you get? Do you have the brochure by any chance?
I would prefer the red with black interior! Or black and black.

I ordered gun metal gray with black interior. I got the Ipod and floor mats and skipped the cold weather package.

Yeah, I've got a brochure. Are you getting one?

I find it weird that you would sell a Maxima to buy a GT-R, if I had the funds for a GT-R it would be a garage queen with the Maxima as a daily driver and a flat black Tahoe lifted on 26's for when I need something different, and a home

I find it wierd that someone would buy a GT-R and not drive it every day. I know I would.

I can agree driving it most days but certain places and weather conditions I'd leave it in the garage, how is the GT-R with maintenance, the Maxima/350Z/G35 are basic items and oil changes, is the GT-R the same

Yeah, I was debating on whether to keep the max or not. In the end, it didn't make sense for me to keep it. I was only using the max on the weekends and some times not even then. I have a beater and a company van that I use during the week for work. On the weekends, I use to alternate between my wife's car and my max.

So, I sold the max now to get the most I could get out of it. The GTR will still only be used on the weekends but, I'm sure I can try and find more time to take it out for some drives.

Ahhh man, you've got me day dreaming down here. We hit the hotest day of the year today in Dallas(85 degrees) and nice breeze. It's 8 o'clock my time and it's still warm.

Perfect day for a GT-R drive.

I'm jealous! It was only like 50 degrees here today, with a few drizzles here and there.

It does sound nice, hope your enjoying the weather. Sounds like a perfect day to ride out in any car.

Oh, btw, the auction link I posted earlier has now been pulled. No bids...what a surprise.
