You'll enjoy the sound of the CAI most of all.
Go with that.

LOL, IRA = Individual Retirement Account certificate...

Something for a rainy day

But if you must spend, I vote CAI or NWP IM spacers.

Agree on the CAI. The spacers are nice, but the CAI is better.

Nmex would loose his mind at this point and say, buy a 3" pcv tube and mod the MAF housing but use the stock intake assembly.

Get some progress spring for that price. Or spend a little more and get Eibach. If not that then get a CAI.

Why are Progress or Eibach springs better than the stock springs? If I want to retain the soft ride in my Max SL but want better handling (i.e. less sway, tighter cornering, etc.), can I get that without changing the stock springs?

But w/ 220$, it's hard to get much of anything from the open market these days. For 220$, a custom intake (77mm) could be fabbed, but then it has to be monitored, etc. And THAT's where the $$ comes into play (WB/piggyback, etc). Most guys that ask for 'what to spend w/220$, can't decide what to buy, much less how to make it to the most efficiency.

IMO, Suspension mods would be best....

And it hasn't been stated, however I hope he's a wrench turner also, $220 may get him a new part that he has to stare at until he can save up for the installation!!!

If a part comes in that's within my scope to install, might as well be football season at my house because my wife will not get me out the garage until it's done!!!

+1 on that man. If you are really currently unemployed I would save up the $ until you get back on your feet.... sometimes we 'guys' get caught up in the modding frenzy (been there myself) and don't realize how much $ you're really spending.
