Head to Head: Stillen & Racingline FSTB

There's been a lot of discussion lately in the 6th Gen forums about FSTBs for our Maxima's. Mostly this is due to the arrival of Racingline's FSTB in recent months in comparison to only really having Stillen in the past. Being in the market for one myself, here's a poll.

Vote which you think is the better buy regardless of what you may have on your ride.

the racingline one becuase it was actually built for our car. the only issue [if you call it one] is the a/c line needs to be slightly bent. from what ive read around, the stillen one has a general bar with the ends for the max so not the ideal fit.

also, i think the racingline one is 1/2 the price of the stillen

well to my knowledge i believe that the stillen FSTB was originally designed for the altima...whereas this racingline wasa designed for the 6th gen maxima.

And if you only knew how pedantic about detail TAZ was youd understand why I would only buy racingline.

Racingline = no shaving the top of your intake off. WTF is up with that? Why would a legit company like Stillen put out a product that required you to take a major chance that would cost some $$$ to fix.

I asked racingline about the FSTB and nwp spacers. They sent me pics of the actual product installed with the spacers. For me, being a nervous screw ball that I am, that was enough for me to order the product.

Yes, another FSTB thread.

To sum things up, Stillen was made for the Altima and happens to fit on the Maxima and now Racingline was made for the 6th Gen and happens to fit on the Altima

Most who have the Stillen bought it before the Racingline was out

I got a nice black RacingLine FSTB on my car. Fits like a glove and looks much better than the Stealin Stillen bar.

IMO...
racingline's design seems more rigid and solid
stillen is just an ordinary strut bar with stillen written on it.

but with all seriousness... tint adds more hp than both fstb combined!!! w00t w00t

I voted for Racingline. It feels like a more solid bar, it doesnt rub, and it looks better. I did have to cut out more of the plastic covers, but thats no biggie. With teh Racingline red sticker on the bar, it looks REALLY sharp!!
