On a serious note though, the build looks great. You can probably auto-x your car, run a few passes down the 1320, then win a few trophies in a car show all in the same day.

Thanks. Atleast there is one smart person in this thread. I think the new car smell is killing you 6th genner's brain cells...

Yeah..........
Only way I could see it work if there was some form of auto switchover ride so that the gears would only change when you slapped the stick.

I've seen it tons of automatic cars autox. That's nothing out of the ordinary. Of course, a standard transmission is 100 times more efficient in that setting. But that doesn't mean an automatic can't hold it's own.

Sorry for the lack of updates other than it's finish for now, still have to install the tranny cooler but we need to get the proper flow direction for the water cooling to make sure it's installed correctly. I also have a small breakin period with the tranny but what an impressive difference. Red Heat wants to bust *** off the lines, just ask the dude with the 2007 Mustang GT I ambushed when he wanted to roll near this quiet section down my way. We started off almost dead even till I hit 2nd/3rd and that Turbo spooled up and blasted me ahead of him by almost 7 car lengths and I was still pulling... hahahhahahahaha
Sorry dudes, couldn't get it to the track to get some 1/4 mile times yet since I just picked it up Friday, had a car show Saturday (see below) and I have some family business to take care now or the wife will kill me if I leave for MIR...

Regarding the manual tranny-With all of that power on a FWD Maxima he is going to need both hands on the steering wheel. The AUTO is ideal for that.
Car is looking great Chern and running even better. I'd love to be able to open up a can of whoopazz on GT's and most V8's.
But for now I'll stick to Acura TL's and such.

OK guy's I'm done with Phase 4 so I'm closing out on posting here anymore. The Tranny rebuild was a success and everything on my list on Post #1 was successfully accomplished.
1. Transmission rebuild (complete) and upgrade
2. Install rear Racingline Motor Mount insert (complete)
3. Install Nissan Altima SE-R larger front lower anti-sway bar (Delivered)
4. New LED Tail lights (Delivered)
5. Final Dyno Tuning (at PTuning in Manassas, VA)
6. Polish Turbo Intake pipe (complete)
Total cost for the Tranny rebuild/upgrade was $4600.
But I was able to put more new or quality parts on so that's a plus.
Tranny Part for my rebuild included:
- Race Modified Torque Converter
- Master Rebuild Kit
- Pressure Plate
- New Valve Body (March 2008 manufacture date)
- Bushing Kit
- Drum
- Band
- Front Pump
- Filter
- Cooler
- Thrust washer set
- 12 Quarts of AT fluid
Parts alone were $2,820, the rest was in labor.
As a bonus, my friend that owns the Tranny shop let me take parts home, refurbish, polish, etc and use their shop and tools to do whatever other mod work I wanted. Very cool of them.
