any ideas?
i just got it today, all of a suddren, my gauges dont work (they light up when i start the car, then go dim, but none of them move at all) and my brake, abs, slip, and couple others lights are on

also my blinkers and A/c dont work

i checked the fuses under the steering wheel but no luck...

any ideas? realllyyy frustrating :-/

Sounds like the display control unit may be bad or someone has worked on the radio section of the dash and did not plug everything back in.

 

yeah I got it today. It all of a sudden happend after driving about a couple hours :-/ I'll open the dash tommorrow and see if everything is connected ok. Any other ideas

 

If you just got it today then i say take it right back to where you got it and have them repair it or give you your money back and don't be afraid to treathen with a lawyer if they give you a hard time. I'm in the car business so take it from me they got your money so make sure you get a proper product. how many miles on the car and did you get any type of warranty.

 

one more thing forget to ask was it a private sale or a dealer. if it was a dealer then take it back if it was private then try do like you said and open the dash and check

 

well I got it from a dealer auction so its kind of "as is"

just checked the AC connection in back and it was fine..

i didnt go further with the radio cuase the radio works fine, its just the A/C, blinkers, gauges...

i guees i just gotta take it to nissan and see what they say, and i have no warranty

 

Does the car start ok like the battary is being charged good because you said they went dim and the brake and and abs lights are on i would check that alternator

 

yeah everything works fine

UPDATE:

ok i just took it to nissan, the guy checked it out and brought me this box with change wiggling in it lol

he said it was the "unified meter amp" and it got shorted when the change fell in there somehow

said it would be about 600 with parts and labor

i got the part number as well, anyone know where its at and if its easy to install? and where i can buy it?
